Zest of Italy specializes in food and wine tours in Italy for professionals and people who are interested in cuisine and culture.
After Livio's engineering studies and some 10 years of finance between London, Zurich, and Tokyo, he returned to origins, studied food communication at Slow Food University and worked with its President, Carlo Petrini. Today Livio is a marketing and tourism consultant, private culinary guide and passionate chef. When he planned Zest of Italy tours with his wife Kathrin, he brought together his fellow travelers with his favorite food artisans in experiences that never fail to meet hopes and expectations.
During Kathrin's undergraduate studies in Business Management in London, she rediscovered her love for food and wine thanks to La Fromagerie, a local cheese shop. After a few years of learning how to age cheeses, I decided to do a second degree at the Slow Food University of Gastronomic Sciences. This is where she met her husband Livio and opened the tour operator, Zest of Italy, in 2009. Over the last 15 years, she has been realizing her passion for natural wine-making and traveled extensively to learn about the best interpreters of "terroir wines".
