Victor was born and raised in Puerto Viejo, Limon and learned to cook since he was a child. Being part of a family of five boys, his mother taught him and his brothers to cook at an early age. His family owns a Caribbean restaurant in town where he worked as a cook for over 20 years. On 2017, he decided to work independently and to share his favorite recipes and his culture with the visitors because even though Puerto Viejo is a very touristic area, most visitors don’t get the chance to try the authentic local food or to learn about the history of the Afro Caribbean people and culture.
