Holly Hill, which is part of the Pálava Hills and the hike, which is a popular pilgrimage, will feature a series of beautiful chapels.
Close to Holly Hill is a historic Baroque vicarage, which has been transformed into a stunning garden restaurant. It’s extremely popular for its unique atmosphere, its views and, last but not least, for its fantastic organic food, sourced directly from local farmers. After lunch in a traditional Moravian restaurant, your final destination will be Chateau Lednice, where you will have a guided walk in the Lednice-Valtice Complex that is included in the UNESCO list. After this final tour you will embark on your final transfer back to Prague (3-hour journey).
Andrea was very proud to have been born in Prague, the beautiful capital city of the Czech Republic. But as she has been into wine for quite a while, she cannot forget to mention Moravia. As she is a local and wine is her passion, she will be more than happy to be your guide. she would love to share her knowledge and passion for wine with you - no matter if you are a wine amateur or wine expert.
Less than 250 kilometers southeast of the capital, sprawling with quaint villages and hundreds of lush, green vineyards, this is undoubtedly a great undiscovered wine region with a rich wine heritage. Wine growing in this region has been reliably traced back to the Roman Empire period - the 2nd century AD.
Ideally situated north of the Alps and at the Western edge of the Carpathian Mountains, the region benefits from a cooler climate, which excels at white wine production. Spreading over more than 16.5 thousand hectares, the region includes 96% of the country's vineyards. Quality can be outstanding, especially the Moravian whites. Mikulov has certainly the highest concentration of wine cellars for tastings, as well as a fairytale chateau on a hill overlooking the town. Like a guardian, the Pálava Hills, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, seem to be carefully watching the vines.
This package includes lunches at charming local restaurants, breakfasts, and dinners. Yet, it excludes wine and soft drinks. We can adapt the menu depending on diet's restrictions.
There are villages to visit, hikes around the hotels. The perfect combination of wine and heritage
