Thought we'd take a punt on this retreat, and was always a bit dubious until we actually arrived at the gates.

    Was well worth that punt...

This place felt like it was as authentic as it gets, and is set in such a beautiful location. The hot spring baths are the highlight, but it has so much more to offer. Can't help but feel that if this retreat was promoted better, it would be heaving.

The staff are very polite, and always happy to help. We booked a one day spa treatment which included things like massages and hydrotherapy, well worth the money, and felt like pure indulgence...

Think I must stress that this is not the place for you if you would like to explore the local area for a good nightlife, or are in need of external entertainment.

On the other hand if you are looking for a couple of days to seriously wind down, relax and settle into a good book for the evening surrounded by a stunning scenery, this is 100% for you.

Also take something for mosquitoes, unfortunately being in such idyllic settings has its drawbacks.

Excellent Thai food, superb ambiance & the best Thai massage we've ever had. We had the two-night, three-day Paradise Package and it was a great deal. Staff is extra caring and sweet, many delightful extras. The grounds & pools are exquisite. First rate chef, try the Pomelo salad!

We had booked a day trip from the hotel to this place, nestled right in the middle of a forest this place will not disappoint you. On our visit, we were just 2 couples at the place and so we had all the attention and the pampering that we could get. The hostess could speak some English, while the girls who were the masseurs spoke just enough English for you to tell them if the pressure applied is ok or not. On reaching a welcome drink to cool the system and a few instructions later we were given clothes to change into. This was followed by a scrub and a shower, then it was into the hot tubs soaking your skin alternating a few times between a hot and cold tub. A nice small back and shoulder massage in between this ritual which ended with a fresh coconut water drink.

Another change of clothes then it was lunch, followed by some free time to walk around the property, relax by the river, click some pictures, check out the hot spring waterfall which is visible from the campus (though this is outside) then we had some origami using leaves to make them into flowers.

This was followed by a nice long full body massage out in these small sheds like structures so you are out in the open enjoying a good massage along with nature. Mosquitoes would be a bit of bother at this point of time, so a spray before starting could help.

The day ended with some Tea and the wish in the heart to return to this place for sure. They have some bamboo cottages and a few Villas to rent out if you are looking for a quite and peaceful holiday away from people and in the heart of nature, this place is a must do.

My partner and I visited recently to unwind and enjoy the quiet of the forest. Wareerak has several spring systems. We had three pools to ourselves (warm, hot, cold) and an attendant nearby to assist us. After a nice soak in the pool we enjoyed fresh coconut water and a busy scrub, followed by a rather firm Thai massage and then lunch. It was such beautiful scenery and the pools were bliss! My only suggestions for visitors are: one) pack mosquito repellent, two) enjoy!

What an amazing place so serene! Loved the hot spring spa experience came away very relaxed. The treatment started with a scrub before spending time going from the three pools: hot, warm and cold. Enjoyed a nice head and shoulder massage sat with my feet in the hot spring. The food was good traditional Thai and we enjoyed a fresh coconut drink before heading for our 60 minute massage. My masseuse was very good and the massage was carried out on a lovely little platform so I got to enjoy the sounds of the jungle whilst she worked on my knots. Bit of the beaten track for us as we were staying the other side of Krabi in Tub Kaak but worth it.

When you finish the day you feel a new person. The service takes care of us all the time. They provide clothes and shoes. The massages are very profesional. Incredible experience for couples. Each couple has they own baths to accurate the privacy and intimacy. I recommended 100%.

I did the one-day spa package in the jungle of Krabi not far from the natural hot spring of Klong Tom - and can highly recommend this relaxing treatment. I had a great day experience hot springs, shoulder & neck massage, body scrub and a traditional Thai massage with very friendly staff. The environment is very unique and lets you forget all the problems and worries.

Amazing Thai massage in a relaxing atmosphere in nature; birds singing around, super-green. And then relaxing in the thermal pools; hot-warm-cold water; drinking coconut. Plus super delicious lunch served in the restaurant by friendly, smiling staff. What else would you expect from life? Not much more...

Had a dull day spa retreat here with my husband during our visit to Krabi. It is located about an hour drive away from Aonang and with pick up service provided. We fell in love in this place as soon as we reached.

It was so quiet and peaceful that you can hear birds chirping and insects buzzing. We had our Thai massage at an outdoor hut. It was really relaxing to have massage outdoor and appreciate the nature at the same time.

After lunch, we went for our body scrub and water therapy. The hot springs were well designed with different temperature. Throughout the whole program, the staff patiently explained and guided us. We truly experienced Thai hospitality in our three hours and a half visit here. I'll certainly return here if I have a chance to revisit Krabi.

It was very surreal seeing this! It was actually so hot and warm! If you have the chance to go you have to. Try to go in the morning early as it gets busy with lots of rude tourists very quickly.

If you are staying in the Krabi area, this is one of three essential places to visit in my opinion (the other two being TheTiger cave and the Emerald pool) and they are often offered as a full day tour doing all three sites, but do beware as you must ensure you have time to visit each site fully and I think you need at least two hours at each of the other two, so make sure your tour company offers this, I actually hired a car and a driver for the day so we could stay as long as we liked at each spot. This was my favourite of the trilogy to visit, it gets very busy at the weekends when the Thais come so plan a weekday visit but when you get there you will not be disappointed, the pools are lovely and hot, its like having a superb bath in the outdoors, the surroundings are beautiful and I could have stayed there all day, the entrance fee is minimal and you can have extra spa related services if you wish, if you just go on one trip from Krabi on your holidays, do make it this one .

Travelled some distance but it was well worth the effort. Greeted by attentive, friendly staff and given some spa clothing. A quick shower then a body scrub followed by the hot water therapy pools. Then Thai yoga and head and neck massage. Change of clothes then a good quality lunch followed by some Thai handicrafts. To finish off a one hour Thai body massage. Wow what an intense experience, this guy certainly knew how to give an intense massage. If you get the chance then take the trip. You won't be disappointed.
