Day 1 - Hanoi arrival

  • Travel to Vietnam with Vivutravel is a perfect idea and your Vietnam holiday packages will be memorable. You will be welcomed upon your arrival at Noi Bai airport (Hanoi) by an experienced English speaking tour guide and driver before transferring to your hotel for check-in.

Day 2 - Hanoi city tour

  • 08:00 Pick up at your hotel and transfer to visit Ho Chi Minh complex with first stop at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - a large memorial to the national hero, President Ho Chi Minh, who led the country to independence and reunification. The Mausoleum is located at Ba Dinh Square where Ho Chi Minh President read the declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945 establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
  • Then take a short walk to the presidential palace and house on Stilt.
  • Near from Ho Chi Minh complex, One Pillar Pagoda - symbol of Vietnam with unique architecture of lotus flower is a must-see destination for all Vietnam tours.
  • Your next stop will be the Museum of Ethnology offering an insight of the 54 different ethnic groups of Vietnam. It introduces Vietnamese traditional ways of life from religious events to the symbolic rituals as well as displays a variety of Vietnamese homes as full-scale replicas outside.
  • 12:00 Take a break at a local restaurant for lunch. Your tour guide will suggest you the best option based on your favorites.
  • 13:30 Continue your Hanoi city tour to the Temple of Literature which is the first university in Vietnam. It was constructed in 1070, first to honor Confucius and nowadays to celebrate the doctorates and high rank scholars of Vietnam.
  • Then a cyclo or rickshaw will take you along narrow streets of the diverse Ancient Quarter for one hour.
  • Stop at the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake to visit Ngoc Son temple and to enjoy a fantastic performance of the famous water puppet show.
  • After the show, your tour guide will take you back to the hotel.
  • Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3 - Hanoi-Halong Bay

  • Halong tour must be the most beautiful tour in Vietnam for any Vietnam Holidays.
  • You start at 08:00 for the 3-hour sailing (170 kilometers) through the Red River Delta, which offers plenty of chances for taking photos of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy fields. At half way, you'll have a visit to a handicraft workshop with fine clothes, embroidered paintings, stone statuettes and all kinds of gems mined in Vietnam such as star rubies or sapphires. Your destination is the World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay. The bay offers some 3000 mountain islands and islets towering in the Gulf of Tonkin in the East Vietnam Sea.
  • Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed on board a luxury junk and treated with wine and fresh local seafood.

Day 4 - Halong Bay-Hanoi-Danang-Hoi An

  • It is said that your Vietnam Tours will not be complete without a tour to Halong Bay and spending one night on romantic Halong Cruise. People describe Halong Bay as majestic and mysterious, inspiring and imperious and words alone cannot do justice to the natural wonder that is Halong Bay, a priceless collection of unfinished sculptures hewn from the hand of nature.
  • After breakfast, you'll take a little sampan to visit a secret lagoon of Ha Long Bay while the surrounding mountains are just waking up.
  • After that your cruise takes you further into the Bay of Bai Tu Long traveling past the Human Head Island, the Turtle Island, and the Duck Islet to the studio site where the famous Indochine film was shot.
  • Around noon, the junk travels back to the harbor then you’ll drive back to Hanoi.
  • Stop in Hai Duong to visit the famous Con Son pagoda.
  • Transfer back to Hanoi Airport for your afternoon flight with Vietnam airlines to Danang.
  • Pick up and transfer to your hotel.
  • Evening free at leisure in Hoi An.
  • Overnight in a hotel in Hoi An.

Day 5 - Hoi An

  • Spend a day leisurely cycling though the scenic countryside of Vietnam, far from the traffic, the motor scooters, and the noises the city. You will cross the islands on the Song Thu river delta using local transportation, including ferries and floating bridges, and others. This tour will take you on a visit to Thanh Ha pottery village, discover the daily life of the local people, view the various stages of producing the many kinds of pottery products like jar, vase, pot, earthen pot, and decorative lamps.
  • Continue to visit Kim Bong carpenters’ village, listen to the village’s history and visit the shipbuilding yards, and see the handicrafts and sculptures. You will discover and learn the secret of weaving the colorful straw Hoi An sleeping mats.
  • Try the renowned Vietnamese basket boats. You will spend the day with first-hand contact with one of the rural inhabitant of the region, far from the usual tourist circuits.
  • At lunchtime you will be invited into the home of a local Vietnamese family for a traditional Vietnamese meal, and learn their customs and traditions.
  • After you have relaxed for a while under the shade of a mango tree, you will begin your return towards Hoi An, which will take about an hour.

Day 6 - Hoi An-Danang-Siem Reap

  • After breakfast, your Vietnam tour guide and driver in Hoi An will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap.
  • Upon your arrival, be welcomed by your private tour guide and driver and transferred to the hotel.
  • Check in and free at leisure.
  • Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 7-Siem Reap

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • In the morning, visit south gate of Angkor Thom and Bayon temple, a forest of heads.
  • Then, visit terrace of elephant, which used to be a base for the king’s grand audience hall, and Terrace of Leper king, which was a terrace for the royal crematory.
  • In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, the most balanced, the most harmonious, and the most perfect Khmer temple. It shows Khmer art, which reached the height of it glory in the 12th century. The temple was built by king Suryavrman II and dedicated to god Vishnu. Climb Bakheng hill to have bird’s eye view of sunset, Angkor Wat and western Baray.
  • Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 8 - Siem Reap

  • After breakfast, visit floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, the biggest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia. This floating village is definitely a must-see destination in Siem Reap. Most people (90%) are fishermen living in their wooden houses built on small boats and rafts. The village has everything from floating stores, to a floating gas station and a floating school including two gymnasiums for kids to play soccer or basketball. And for those who need their little prayer every day, there's even a floating church.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Siem Reap town. Your tour guide will take you to visit Wat Thmey or Killing Field that contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge.
  • Then, continue to visit Aritsans d’angkor.
  • Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 9 - Siem Reap-Phnom Penh

  • After breakfast, you will be transferred by private car, with no guide, to Phnom Penh on 314-kilometer road (about 5-hour drive) passing through three provinces of Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham and Kandal.
  • Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be transferred to hotel for check-in and relaxing.
  • Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 10 - Phnom Penh

*After breakfast, start a city tour of some major sights of Phnom Penh. You will visit Royal Palace, the sacred Silver Pagoda, which is well known for its 5000 silver-tiled floor. Heading out of this area, you will follow your trip to Independence monument and Wat Phnom, which is the symbol of Phnom Penh.

  • In the afternoon, visit Independence Monument, and National Museum, in which there is an attractive collection of ancient Khmer art - the sandstone sculptures dating from both the Angkorean and pre-Angkorean eras.
  • Then, explore the lively central market and Russian market.
  • Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 11 - Phnom Penh-Chau Doc

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Free at own leisure until transfer time to Phnom Penh pier for taking speed boat to Chau Doc at 12:00.
  • Upon your arrival, you will be picked up to the hotel.
  • Overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 12 - Chau Doc-Can Tho

  • After breakfast, you take the boat trip to explore the floating and fishing village of Chau Doc; then a unique Cham ethnic minority village before driving to Can Tho.
  • Stop on the way to see famous Sam Mountain and enjoy a great view from the summit.
  • Continue to Can Tho, the heart of Mekong Delta in Vietnam.
  • Check in and free at leisure.
  • Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 13 - Can Tho-Ho Chi Minh

  • In the morning, you make the boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats), truly highlights of any Vietnam Tours where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals. Later, you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill, a rice noodles making shop which are nice chances to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in Mekong Delta.
  • Around noon, transfer to Ho Chi Minh.
  • Check in and free at leisure.
  • Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 14 - Ho Chi Minh

  • On this full-day program, you’ll depart Ho Chi Minh City at 08:00 for a pleasant drive through the countryside to Cu Chi. Before entering the tunnels you’ll see a short introductory video about their construction. Spend the next hour exploring the tunnel maze. Also on display are various mantraps, the remains of an American tank, and numerous bomb craters created by 500-pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers.
  • Afterwards, you’ll head back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving at around 13:00.
  • In the afternoon your Ho Chi Minh City tour begins with a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office, fine examples of classical French colonial architecture. See the Reunification Palace, one of the city’s most important buildings. Here on 30 April 1975 the American War officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, the War Remnants Museum features poignant displays of the futility of war. The courtyard outside contains the spoils of war, namely rusting jets, tanks, and cannons captured from the American military machine.
  • Visit the bustling Ben Thanh Market, which is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk ao dais, the traditional costume for women.
  • The tour ends at approximately 18:00 and you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
  • Note that you have the option of staying on at Ben Thanh Market and making your own way back to the hotel.

Day 15 - Ho Chi Minh-Phan Thiet

  • In the morning transfer to Phan Thiet (5-hour drive, a perfect place to end your Vietnam Holiday). Once a part of the Cham Kingdom, it’s now a perfect stop for Vietnam beach holidays, an unremarkable town with a reasonable beach, some decent hotels, and a very good golf course. In a nice setting with white sand beaches and coconut trees, the beach resort of Phan Thiet is also endowed with amazing spots such as sand dunes, natural lakes and astonishing red canyons. Phan Thiet still has sizeable populations of Cham and Raglai ethnic minority groups. The former are a part of the area’s Cham heritage.
  • Upon arrival, check in at the hotel, free time at leisure.
  • Overnight in a Phan Thiet hotel.

Day 16-17 - Phan Thiet

  • Enjoy your free day.
  • Relax in Mui Ne beach
  • Overnight in Phan Thiet.

Day 18 -Departure
