We had a really lovely few days at this very special hotel. It is located in a really lovely spot over-looking the sea. The staff was really welcoming and friendly and the room was amazing, very large with plenty of cupboard space. The bed was really comfy and spotlessly clean throughout. We had a brilliant view of the sea and could hear the waves gently slapping.

The restaurant was fantastic with every meal being delicious and full of flavor. There was no need to eat out. Situated not too far from local shops so you can take a nice walk if provisions are needed. We will definitely be returning for a second visit.

We booked this small boutique hotel for our summer trip in 2015 and we were very, very, satisfied. The hotel provides a great clifftop location, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast option this hotel has to offer is one of the best options we experienced during our travels and the dinner was always very good.

We went for dinner one evening and it seemed like the other customers were mainly hotel guests which is a shame as the food was lovely and worth visiting the hotel for. The young staff was very attentive and helpful without being intrusive. The setting is gorgeous as well. I can't really fault it. It was a delightful experience!

Once again, we had a lovely week at the beginning of September. We stayed in room number 1 at the front line of the ocean. It was a very beautiful view! The breakfast was superb with fresh juices, cakes, salmon on Sunday and a la carte eggs with everything else one could wish for.

Diners were very good and the staff was great as always. At the time I made the reservation it was mentioned there would be a wedding on Wednesday so I planned a day-trip to Silves on that day. It was good that it was mentioned beforehand.

Two things however were on the downside. The first was that there was construction work going on next to the hotel, which was very noisy all day. Should Miranda have mentioned this at the time of reservation? Or had they not known? The other thing is not a complaint about the hotel but about the car rental company, Hertz, with which Vivenda Miranda has a car-rental deal. I had some arguments (last year and also this year) with Hertz. Last year they wanted to give me a car which looked like it just came out of a car accident. This year they wanted to give me a very small car (for a BIG price). I did not accept, had discussions and talked to several staff-members of Hertz. After all this they gave me another car that was more fitting with the rental price.

Compared to other companies, Hertz is focused on guests in the luxury-market and asks for prices and insurance prices that are 30% more than other companies would ask for the same cars. They claim that they are high-quality but they are not. They only ask high prices and that is all. Vivenda Miranda is beautiful and the staff as well as food are fantastic. The garden is wonderful and the beaches down the cliffs are very beautiful. I will surely come back for the fourth time.

It is not obvious that the hotel is there. You will not see a name outside, so you have to guess that it is the one you want. Inside it is painted with nice frescoes and through the restaurant to the terrace there is a wonderful view of the sea, while to your right you can see the beach. Our room was lovely, with a nice view of the pool and the sea, but unfortunately it was right next to the kitchen, so early in the morning and late at night it was a bit noisy.

We had paid for half-board and did not initially realize that we had to eat from the tasting menu and not the a la carte menu. On our first night we were told that the tasting menu was not available anyway, so we had to select from the other one, but we still had to pay the difference between the menus, which we thought was a little unfair. On the whole the food was very good, and they were able to cater for gluten-free as well. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were nice. They have pre-made green smoothies, a juicer, cashew yoghurt, and several types of non-diary milk. The hotel organized a yoga instructor for us, so we did yoga early in the morning on the grassy terrace (where weddings are held), overlooking the sea, which was absolutely lovely.

The breakfast was ideal, with fresh fruits and a juicer to make your own concoction, while at the same time over-looking the ocean. We met many guests who return year after year, and we are hoping to become one of them! The rooms are a good size and quite comfortable. They do not do room-service, but you can go to the restaurant and they will give you a tray of coffee to take back to your room.
