"This was a wonderful experience. The scenery is spectacular and the Viola extremely comfortable. Sleeping rooms were the equal to those of good hotels. However, most enjoyable was the organisation and activities which are the result of an efficient and affable tour guide, Lucky Hoi, who, with the rest of the crew made every effort to make the cruise perfect. Lastly, food is the best w.e have experienced in Vietnam."

"Our cruise was well organised we were picked up from our hotel and enjoyed a bus ride to the coast allowing for a good look at the surrounding countryside. We loved our cabin and the boat was extremely comfortable. A range of activities kept everyone occupied. The highlight of the cruise was our wonderful tour guide Lucky, he was very informative and had a great sense of humour."

"We decided to do the 2-day, 1-night cruise which for us was the right choice - not sure what you would get from spending another day on the boat. The boat is beautiful and well presented, very clean and finished to a high standard; get a room with a balcony - it's worth the extra money. Food was of a really high standard and the staff were great - you have to pay for alcohol and beers were around 2 USD. The weather wasn't great when we went, but the landscape was still incredibly beautiful. The trip to the fishing village and pearl farm feels a bit touristy but kayaking around the bay was a highlight. Would highly recommend - only downside is the 4-hour minibus journey there and back from Hanoi, but this is the same for all trips!"

"Go for the three day and two nights tour! I won't explain the full itinerary as I see many other reviewers have but this was the most amazing place to visit; I've never seen anything like it. Our guide Victor was hilarious, the boat was very pleasant, we met some great people on board. There was so much delicious food and so much to do, at first I was disappointed that we couldn't get a balcony room as we booked a bit last minute but ultimately we hardly spent any time in our room anyway so it didn't matter. Speaking to people who had done the two days and one night cruise we definitely saw more impressive sights on the last day that they didn't get to see. Our bar bill was atrocious but we drink a lot compared to everyone else apparently! Beware there is a 4 to five hours coach trip from your hotel in Hanoi to Halong Bay but it is absolutely worth it."

"Fun family trip in Halong bay. My family did a two days and one night cruise. The boat was nice and the food was exceptional. The staff was great, especially Huy Tran (Victor). He was excellent. He knows a lot regarding the places we went to as well as history, etc. He is polite and kind and he made sure that we are all comfortable and enjoying ourselves. He went out of his way to his way to help me with my airline ticket problem. He treated us like his own family."

"It was the best part of our trip in Vietnam! Our tour guide, Phong, was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about Halong Bay and the surrounding area. He made our trip incredibly pleasant, along with the rest of the cruise staff. The food was also amazing and there was a lot of it. The rooms were gorgeous and there was a perfect balance of activities, such as kayaking around the floating city and exploring the Surprising Cave, and time to explore or relax on your own or with the group. I would definitely recommend Viola Cruise to anyone looking to explore Halong Bay!"

"We had 2 days and 1 night stay and were very impressed! We were so pleased that spending 'that little more' on the Halong Bay tour with Viola cruises paid off and allowed us to have such a great trip. The trip itself is from day 1 midday to day 2 midday with 3-hour journey, depending on the traffic, that starts at 08.00 am to the bay from Hanoi. The coach was clean and safe with a energetic tour guide called Hao who gave us all lots of background on the bay, the caves, and general history of Vietnam which I enjoyed hearing. The boat was above expectation. It was very clean and the rooms were wonderful. I had a fantastic night sleep in a very comfortable bed. The meals we had were really amazing for being produced on the boat. It was some exquisite presentation and brought everyone together over dinner.Small basic fishing is available after dinner to catch squid off the boat which brought a laugh. Drinks are reasonable onboard and there is a small fridge in the cabin rooms. The tour includes all that is promoted, the cave being my highlight. We had a rain the whole time but spirits were kept high by the quality of the boat and the sites you are surrounded by. The check out of your room is after kayaking or boating around the floating houses of the isles around 9.30 am to turn to cabins around for the next tour. We found the waiting time from this to our cooking class at around 10.45 am was a little long which wasn't communicated clearly. However, making spring rolls before a hearty lunch made up for it :) Overall, it was a good solid company to go with and for guaranteed good food and night sleep. This is the tour for you!"

"I have been to Halong Bay once before and this time was better. The boat was really new inside and the staff was great, especially Le, our guide. He was very friendly and informative about Vietnam history and culture. I just wish I did 3 days not 2 ;( This cruise is highly recommended."
