We had an excellent day with Kate. Action packed with food tasting in Olanzac market, olive oil tasting. An amazing visit to a small natural domain to taste delightful wines and meet the charming owner, she gave us a wonderful insight into she and her husband's philosophy on growing natural vines and making exceptional wines. Fabulous lunch by the side of the midi. Finally a leisurely boat trip on the midi tasting again exceptional wines. This was a very full day but not sure what Vinenvacances could possibly leave out. Kate had plenty of cold water for us, she was truly informative and a brilliant guide for the day.

Wendy is a perfect combination of great knowledge and delightful personality, who is able to explain the intricacies of making wine, it's history and geography in terms that are unstuffy and understandable. She gave us a brilliant tour in 'George' - one of her mini buses (John and Paul are the others, Ringo is on his way...) chatting knowledgeably as we passed through stunning scenery in the Corbieres on our way to Rousillon and a visit to her friend and brilliant winemaker Katie Jones. A delicious lunch in the shadow of the Chateau at Cabaret was followed by a visit to the Artisan Windmill bakery and a climb to marvel at the spectacular views of the Pyrenees from the Chateau itself, then back into George for a visit to another winery, mainly to sample sweet reds produced there.

Every minute of the day was full of information - Wendy is very well informed about many things including the history of the Cathars - and her enthusiasm has persuaded us to explore the wines of Languedoc - Roussillon with confidence. We'll definitely book another tour with her when we next return to Carcassonne.

Go on, treat yourself to one of Wendy's wine tours! We couldn't have asked for more - sampled gorgeous wines, went to stunning places and met fabulous people! Not to mention all that we learnt! There wasn't a single question (and there were many) left unanswered by Wendy; from the science of the wine-making process to the rich history of the region, she knows it all!

Door to door all day trip visiting and sampling the wines of two local vineyards. The day was split by enjoying a delicious lunch and a visit worthwhile to Minervois. What a great to learn more about wines.

One of our goals for our recent trip to France was to see Cathar Castles. Vin en Vacances gave us the opportunity. Our guide, Marcel, made it a very interesting, informative, and it was a pleasant day. Our visit to the winery included not only wine tasting, but also a short tour. Then, it was on to our first castle, Queribus. Marcel made sure that we knew which trail to follow, when and where to meet when we finished our trek, and even made sure we had water. What great views and photo on the way up and from the top, an exhilarating hike in the Pyrennes! Our next stop was Cucugnan, for a three-course lunch (included in the price), followed by a walk in the village, past the windmill and on to the bakery (yummy sweets!). We then drove to the next castle, Chateau Peyreperteuse, where we again had the opportunity to climb to the top for more great views. The drive back to Carcassonne was through the Galamus Gorge, a drive with spectacular scenery. It was a perfect day in every way. We highly recommend this tour and company.

I cannot recommend highly enough this tour. My wife and I had the pleasure to join Vin en Vacances last July 2015. Having researched our options for different wine tours in the region, we chose Vin en Vacances and we were not disappointed. We were collected from our guesthouse in the morning and dropped back in the evening; in between we had a most memorable day. We were taken to two wineries, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. Between both, we were treated to a gorgeous lunch and a historic tour of beautiful Lagrasse. Our guide, Kate, was brilliant: she was extremely knowledgeable, without being patronizing. She was very helpful and approachable with any questions and very personable, making our tour fun and memorable. Neither of us are experts in wine, but the tour and Kate catered all types and levels of knowledge, making everyone feel very relaxed and comfortable. We learned a lot about the grape types, the environment and processes in making local wines. All in all it, was a great day and the highlight of our trip to France and very reasonably priced. We hope to go back as soon as we can.

Wendy clearly knows and loves her wine and the Languedoc area. She was able to pitch her discussion to the needs of a diverse group, with a variety of tastes, experiences, and knowledge, all with dexterity and humor. Her choice of contrasting winemakers was helpful, and limiting the tasting to these two domains was sensible. The inclusion of a delectable lunch at Lagrasse, prepared in her delightful kitchen by Elysse, followed by Carlos's informative tour of the village, was a very nice inclusion to balance our focus on wine and to get us walking. We would highly recommend Vin en Vacances, as a great way to see, taste, and experience the delights of Languedoc.
