Discover the magnificent Italian region of le Marche, while you learn to prepare some of the most traditional dishes of the country. Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and the culture in the towns around the villa, where you will find friendly people and a tranquil way of living. Pick fresh ingredients from the garden, use them to cook, and prepare a wide range of antipasti, including crostini and bruschettas, cooked the authentic Italian way with typical fillings and delicious sauces. On Villa San Raffaello you will experience elegant and comfortable Italian self-catering accommodations, a large landscaped garden with a big pool, a vineyard and stunning mountain views. Its comfortable interiors and many facilities that will make you feel at home. You can enjoy the courtyard garden and many shady al-fresco eating areas, as well as a childrens play area with a slide, swings and a climbing wall. You will also find a vineyard with numerous hammocks, as well as an organic garden, planted every year, where you can pick fruits, vegetables, herbs, and nuts.
During restoration process for Villa San Raffaello, they ensured that all the best architectural features were retained, from exposed wooden beams and lintels, to old stonework and terracotta tiles, incorporating these features and combining them with modern bathrooms and kitchens, as well as modern conveniences, such as WI-FI, dishwashers, movie and music players.
You will stay in self-catering accommodation. If your party is between 2 and 4 people, you will share either 2-bedroom apartment Elisa or Damiano. If your party size is 5 or more, then you will stay in either apartment Gigi or Grazia.
On the week’s cookery holiday you will cook and prepare a wide range of anti pasta’s including Crostini’s, Bruschetta and special Torte Verdura to name just a few. Make your own Gnocchi and fine egg pasta cooked the authentic Italian way with typical Le Marche fillings and delicious sauces.
You will have four 3-hour cookery classes during the week. The cooking lessons will take place 3 minutes from the villa, at the Sarnano Cookery schools kitchen, in a 13th century house at the Centro Storico of Sarnano, a gorgeous medieval town acclaimed as one of Italy's most beautiful villages. You can spend your free time exploring the charming towns or at the villa, where you will find a collection of books and movies, as well as a pool with wonderful views.
After your Italian cooking classes you will receive a cookbook that includes recipes of all the dishes cooked during your stay and a certificate on completion of the culinary course. The chefs have chosen dishes that you can easily make at home, using ingredients that you can usually find in most markets, shops and delicatessens. The cooking lessons will each include the meal where you will eat the food and the dishes that you prepared with the chefs.

Seasonal main courses could include Wild Boar stew with juniper, beef tagliata with green pepper sauce. Deserts or dolce may include Lia’s famous panna cotta or apple torte della nonna with vino cotto zabaglione.
