You will stay at an Agriturismo country inn in double rooms with a private bathroom.

Program

Day 1

You will be picked up from the Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) or Bologna train station and transferred to your accommodation located in the Modena

countryside. Then, you will enjoy your welcome lunch in here. This afternoon, you will have a guided tour of nearby Modena. You will have your dinner at the agriturismo.

Day 2

Your breakfast will be served at the agriturismo. This morning is dedicated to the Prosciutto di Parma Protected Origin Denomination. You will have a visit and product tasting at the Prosciutto museum in Langhirano. After lunch, you will drive to the city of Parma, where you will have a guided visit of the historical center and its monuments. After a full day, you will return to your accommodation to relax before dinner at the agriturismo.

Day 3

You will enjoy your breakfast at the agriturismo. This morning, you will head to the small charming town of Vignola, where you visit a producer of the traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena Protected Origin Denomination. Next, you will drive to Bologna for a special tasting lunch. This afternoon, you will have a guided visit of the main sights of Bologna followed by free time to explore on your own. Your dinner will be served at the agriturismo.

Day 4

You will have an early start this morning to see the production of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese Protected Origin Denomination. You will learn about the origin of the milk as well as the cheese making and aging process. Your visit will include a tasting. In the afternoon, you will drive to the Colli Bolognesi, the hills just outside of the city, for a rustic lunch and visit to a local winery. You will taste the excellent white and red wines from their cantina.

This evening, you will be in the kitchen at the agriturismo for a cooking lesson, learning to make some of the many delicious local specialties. You then taste everything that you have prepared together at your final dinner tonight.

Day 5

Your breakfast will be served at the agriturismo. Then, you will check out and be transferred to Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) or Bologna train station.
