Fattoria Baco has belonged to the Cascino family for five generations since 1850. Now it is composed of Alberto, his wife Patrizia, and their two children, Francesca and Lorenzo. Alberto remodeled all the estate, planting vineyards, olive trees and fields of wheat and sunflowers; then he started the work of restoration of the Villa and the adjoining farm houses. Patrizia helped furnishing the ten farm houses in an authentic Tuscan style.

Later on, Lorenzo successfully converted the Fattoria Baco into a modern estate. In the 80s, Alberto and Patrizia started to host events like weddings, and various workshops like painting, theater, choral and tango. "Chef Giuseppe made each course of the complete dinner we cooked a delightful adventure. Everyone participated and learned about the foods as well as the ingredients. After finishing we all sat down under a beautiful tree to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The view was stunning and Francesca made sure we wanted for nothing. We had members of our group requiring gluten free and care was taken to provide for them. If you are anywhere in the area make this part of your time spent in Tuscany. A wine tour can also be arranged on the location."

"Food from heaven! Cheesy title, but what an amazing place! The cooking was so much fun, and we have never been so well looked after. Candlelit dinner for two under a beautiful horse chestnut tree awaited us on our arrival. When we didn't cook, the food prepared by Patrizia and Christina was an experience! The family is lovely, they even gave us a chance to practice our Italian. It wasn't just about the cooking, taught by a real expert and excellent teacher; we learned all about olive oil, the Bacio wine, local herbs, visited Siena and firenze with expert guides. When all the stress of relacing And eating become too much, we could doze by the pool gazing over the Vineyards. One of our best weeks ever. We shall be returning."

"I spent a cooking holiday last summer with some firends at Tuscany Cook. We attended their cooking classes and had a relaxing time in the Tuscan countryside. I love this place so much and their cooking classes: fun, simple, and delicious recipes that we eat in the beautiful garden under the big tree. Love it! I'll try to come back there very soon!"
