Azalea

This lovely restored farm house with woodbeamed ceilings and tiled floors is situated in the garden of the main building of Villa Baco. Although Casa Azalea shares the same big garden with other guests, the beautiful Azaleas give the opportunity for creating ones own secluded corner. The apartment is composed of a living room, a large kitchen with a characteristic fireplace, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment has independent heating and suitable for up to 4 people.

Swimming pool

The wide swimming pool (16 x 6.50 meters) overlooking the vineyards will invite you to a fresh and relaxing swim. There is plenty of opportunity for creating ones own secluded corner so you can spend your holidays in complete relaxation. The nearby fields will invite you to have a walk or follow the trekking paths nearby.

Optional tours

On request, we can help you to organize extra programs as: hot-air ballooning to float over Chianti vineyards, horseback riding, and bike or Vespa tour, rent-a-car to explore our countryside. We can provide also excursions to Lucca, Pisa and Cinque Terre.

Let's start cutting and mixing to create your own meal with Lisa or Elaine! They will guide you on 3 cooking lessons of 3 hours each. You will learn how to use olive oil in its natural state or in cooking, how to enhance your cooking with wine, how to use fresh or wild aromatic herbs such as sage, rosemary, the wild nepitella, laurel and much more.

You will have guided tours in private vineyards and olive groves and taste wine products as well as extra virgin olive oils. You will also join a guided tour in Florence with transfer from Certaldo train station and return. On your free time, enjoy the relaxing countryside and the beautiful pool at your disposal.

"Chef Giuseppe made each course of the complete dinner we cooked a delightful adventure. Everyone participated and learned about the foods as well as the ingredients. After finishing we all sat down under a beautiful tree to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The view was stunning and Francesca made sure we wanted for nothing. We had members of our group requiring gluten free and care was taken to provide for them. If you are anywhere in the area make this part of your time spent in Tuscany. A wine tour can also be arranged on the location."

"Food from heaven! Cheesy title, but what an amazing place! The cooking was so much fun, and we have never been so well looked after. Candlelit dinner for two under a beautiful horse chestnut tree awaited us on our arrival. When we didn't cook, the food prepared by Patrizia and Christina was an experience! The family is lovely, they even gave us a chance to practice our Italian. It wasn't just about the cooking, taught by a real expert and excellent teacher; we learned all about olive oil, the Bacio wine, local herbs, visited Siena and firenze with expert guides. When all the stress of relacing And eating become too much, we could doze by the pool gazing over the Vineyards. One of our best weeks ever. We shall be returning."

"I spent a cooking holiday last summer with some firends at Tuscany Cook. We attended their cooking classes and had a relaxing time in the Tuscan countryside. I love this place so much and their cooking classes: fun, simple, and delicious recipes that we eat in the beautiful garden under the big tree. Love it! I'll try to come back there very soon!"
