During this holiday, you will be accommodated at four-star Hotel Romano House. In the heart of baroque Catania, at the center of the city's nightlife and business quarter, Romano House is a new resort for business or pleasure.

Day 1

After arrival at Catania - Fontanarossa Airport (CTA), you will be transferred to your 4-star hotel in Catania where you will stay overnight.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart with a 4 x 4 jeep for an excursion to Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. You will climb a lava flow and get a special view of the Valle del Bove. You will continue and visit a cave of lava flow, stop at a mountain hut, and then continue to the extinct craters of Monti Sartorius.

Then, you will start the trekking tour into the nature of the Monti Sartorius. Afterward, you will have lunch with a tasting of local wines in a typical winery of the area. Then, you will return to the hotel.

Day 3

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the small town of Viagrande, where you will meet your instructor for the hands-on cooking, Mrs. Eleonora Consoli, the author of "Sicily - La Cucina del Sole" and many other cookbooks.

The class will be held in her typical Sicilian home dating from the 18th century, in one of the most characteristic villages on the slopes of Mount Etna. The class will be based on well-known Sicilian recipes, paying particular attention to pasta, fish, and vegetables.

After the class, you will enjoy the prepared dishes, enriched with specialties of the Sicilian cuisine. You will continue to Taormina for a visit with a local guide of the pretty and romantic town on Mount Tauro, the famous Greek theater with a splendid view of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.

Day 4

After breakfast, depending on the departure flight, you will have a panoramic tour of Catania to discover this beautiful baroque town located on the Ionian Sea at the feet of Etna, in a vast plain planted with citrus trees.

You will move along the most important street in Catania, Via Etnea, with its wonderful baroque-styled palaces and the white and black colors of their "laugh and cry-styled" façades. You will be transferred to Catania - Fontanarossa Airport (CTA), which marks the end of services.

Included excursions

On the second day, there will be an excursion to Mount Etna, where you will climb a lava flow, visit a cave of lava flow, stop at a mountain hut. Then, you will visit and have a trekking tour of the extinct craters of Monti Sartorius.

On the third day, you will visit Viagrande, a village on the slopes of Mount Etna. Then, you will visit Taormina with a local guide. On the last day, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of Catania, walking along the most important street, Via Etnea.
