Thapae Gate is the area that has become the heart of Chiang Mai’s activities and festivals, including the popular Flower Carnival in February, Songkran Festival in April, and Loy Kratong Festival in November. It is also the starting point for the great Sunday Walking Street market, which is on the Imm Hotel Thapae's doorstep.

Day 1 - Doi Suthep Temple and White Hmong village

Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of north Thailand’s most sacred temples. You will be picked up from your hotel in Chiang Mai at 13:30 and driven 45 minutes up the mountain. On this Chiang Mai tour, you will climb a staircase of 306 steps, leading to Doi Suthep Temple, located at the end of the winding road up the mountain. This is definitely the best way to approach the temple but there is also a funicular railway if you are less steady on your feet.

The trip would be worth it just for the stunning views across Chiang Mai. From the cool view point at the front of the temple, you can see the whole of Chiang Mai and beyond. Following the temple visit, you will continue further up the mountain to visit a White Hmong Village. You will return to your hotel in Chiang Mai around 17:00.

In the evening, experience a night of traditional northern Thai food and traditional Thai dance. You will be picked up from your hotel at 19:00 and transfer to Chiang Mai's premiere kantoke venue (khum kantoke).

Get to eat real northern Thai food at kantoke tables, while being entertained by traditional hill tribe dancers. Sample northern delights, such as northern Thai pork curry, Thai fried chicken, fried cabbage, Thai sticky rice, and fried bananas. You will return to your hotel in Chiang Mai at 21:30.

Day 2 - Chiang Rai Province and The Golden Triangle

Today, you will visit Chiang Rai Province and The Golden Triangle, which is the meeting point of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. After being picked up at your Chiang Mai hotel at 07:30, your first stop will be Maekhajan hot springs, a good spot to take a morning cup of coffee before heading up towards the stunning Wat Rong Khun, often named The White Temple, due do its dazzling white color inlaid with mirrored glass.

A short drive from Chiang Saen will bring you to the Golden Triangle, where you will have the option to join a boat trip across the Mekong River to the Laos island of Don Sao. The tour will proceed to Mae Sai, the Thai border town with Myanmar, where you can spend some time at the bustling border market.

You will also get a glimpse of Myanmar itself, with it only being situated a mere ten meters away across the river. On the return leg to Chiang Mai, you will stop to see The Karen Long Neck hill tribe, as well as Akha and Yao tribal groups. You will go back to your hotel at about 20:00.

Day 3 - Market tour and Thai cooking class

Today, you will learn Thai cooking at the best cooking school in Chiang Mai. If you have ever eaten Thai food and thought you would love to be able to create it back in your home country, this class will make it so easy.

You will be collected from you hotel at 09:00 and you will take a morning fresh food market tour, where you will learn about some of the local produce and ingredients used in Thai cooking.

The next stop will be the cooking school kitchen, where you will learn how to cook healthy and delicious Thai dishes to surprise your friends and your family back at home. You will cook three Thai dishes before having lunch and then cook three more. You will return to you hotel in Chiang Mai at 16:00.

Day 4 - Doi Inthanon National Park

You will be picked up from your Chiang Mai hotel at 08:00 and you will head towards Doi Inthanon National Park, where you will find Doi Inthanon, Thailand's highest peak.

On the way up, you will visit Wachiritharn and Siritharn Waterfalls and the agricultural work at the Royal Project Research Station, the king and queen chedis; the best views across the park are found here. You will then head to the peak of Doi Inthanon.

Near the top, you will take the Angkha nature walk, where you can walk amongst the unique flora and forest at this altitude. There are both Karen and Hmong villages in the bounds of Doi Inthanon and you will see a Karen village on the way down the mountain before making your way back to Chiang Mai, at 17:00.

Day 5 - Elephant ride, ox-carting, bamboo rafts, orchid and butterfly farm

On the final day, you will be picked up at 08:30 and driven to the Mae Tang area, in the north of Chiang Mai, to get real close to the Asian elephants. Watch the elephants demonstrate their skills at the elephant show before embarking on an elephant ride. After lunch, you will try your hand at ox-carting before boarding the bamboo rafts for a leisurely trip down the Mae Tang River.

This is an ideal tour for the family and those who do not want to trek up the hill and mountain. On the return back to Chiang Mai, you will visit a Thai orchid and butterfly farm. You will return to your hotel in Chiang Mai at 16:30.

"When my wife and I visited Thailand we booked private tours with Travel Hub. The booking process was very easy and the advisers were very helpful in helping us create our itinerary. We did a custom half-day tour, their day tour of the floating market, Grand Palace, and Wat Arun, as well as their two day Kingdom of Siam tour, which starts in Bangkok and ends in Chaing Mai. "

"We had Miss Aris, also known as Alice, as our guide and she was absolutely amazing, very friendly and funny. She was our local friend for the four days we spent with her. She did everything to make us comfortable and made sure she knew what we liked and surprised us with our favorites for lunch or any of the stops we made. The vans they use are clean and comfortable, with fully reclining seats, which was great for napping on any long drives. They provided water and cold towels, which was great for the hot days, lunch was also included in all our tours. Alice was very knowledgeable and gave us a great appreciation of the history and culture of the country and each place we visited. She also took pictures for us and made sure we tried all the cool local snacks and fruits at any of the markets and towns we passed through. "

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tours. The highlights were the historical sites of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai, the floating market, the Grand Palace, and the deep fried insects at our overnight stop on our drive up to Chaing Mai. We highly recommend this company and Alice for a very enjoyable time in Thailand."

"We flew 21 hours to get to Bangkok, arriving at 01:00. The next day, we did a four-hour tour with Travel Hub Bangkok. Mr. Sam was great, His English is good and his knowledge of the city is superior. We rode in an air-conditioned van to a great flower and produce market. The flowers were beautiful and smelled great. The produce was amazing; there were things we had never seen and things we had seen only in photos. Mr. Sam took us to the temple and explained the significance of the buildings, the ornaments, and the statues. I always thought the big guy with the belly was Buddha. Take this tour and find out differently. The temples are so interesting and beautiful; wonderful memories will remain with us. We then went on to the flat boat (James Bond boat) for a canal tour. We fed fishes and saw old and new houses, beautiful homes, and some not so beautiful but interesting. The boat was very comfortable, not scary. We then went back to the market for some local food snacks; great stuff. You have to be willing to try new things. Then we went back through Chinatown (yes, there is a Chinatown in Bangkok) to see real life in Bangkok. This was a great welcome to Bangkok tour. Not too long, very informative, and relaxed."

"We had a great tour with Ms. Mam and Ms. Sanong. They were knowledgeable and always accommodating. We were given unlimited cold water and cold towels, this made us appreciate their services more. The humidity and heat was unbearable but they were always smiling, respectful, and made us feel comfortable. Thumbs up to the team of Travel Hub!"

"This tour exceeded our expectations. We had Miss June as a guide and she was outstanding. Both her and our driver were very friendly and June was so knowledgeable. Her English was good and there were very few occasions where something was lost in translation. You could ask her anything and she had the answer."

"It was very hot for us while on the tour. June noticed we were struggling and gave us a highlights tour of some places to reduce our time in the sun and also provided me with an umbrella, which really helped."

"The air-conditioned van was a god send and the driver had cold water and towelettes waiting for each time we returned, which was lovely. We were so glad we did this tour as we would never have been able to see all these places and gain so many experiences in such a short time had we been trying to get there on our own. Not to mention without the van we would have melted. "

"We would like to thank Travel Hub Bangkok, our driver (who we have unfortunately forgotten his name), and especially June for a wonderful 4 days we will never forget."
