Everything about this hotel was first rate. The rooms are spacious and quiet, with lovely outdoor spaces. The pool is well managed and comfortable. The view from the restaurant, as well as the rooms is spectacular. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was heavenly; a tasty menu that included many surprises. The spa is beautiful, large, and very nicely appointed. The breakfast buffet was excellent, as was the food in the bar area and the other restaurant. It was an easy walk downhill to several bars, restaurants, and port cellars. The setting is beautiful and requires either a fairly long walk or a cab ride into Porto, but it is worth it. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

This hotel is amazing in every way imaginable! The hotel itself is beyond beautiful, with beautiful rooms with terraces overlooking the city and an infinity pool shaped like a wine decanter! The view of the city is stunning, but there are no words to describe the service, how welcoming they are, how helpful they are, and how much they genuinely seem to want you to have an amazing visit! One of our sons left his passport in a safe deposit box in Lisbon, we discovered this upon check-in at The Yeatman, they immediately got on the phone with the Lisbon hotel, located the passport, and had it delivered to us the next morning. All this without asking, they simply said "We will take care of this, you go enjoy yourselves." There are not enough stars to give when you encounter a place that exceeds expectations in every way.

This is the crème de la crème. One of the finest hotels in the world with a breathtaking view, gorgeous rooms, super friendly staff, wonderful food, and more. The hotel welcomed our kids (nine to 14) and they had a blast (pools, kids club, and safe environment), but this is a place I would like to go back to with friends and be pampered in the spa, the wine cellar, or the restaurants. It is within walking distance of picturesque old-Porto, but on the way back you will have to climb a pretty steep hill.

This is a very nice and romantic place with beautiful surroundings and luxury service. It had the most beautiful view of Porto, as seen from Villa Nova De Gaia and from our room, the restaurant, and the pool. Magnificent. Fantastic rooms, clean, good bedding, etc. Nice pools, inside and outside. Excellent breakfast with tasty choices. A real gem!

If paradise exists then I hope it will be like The Yeatman. From the moment you enter the impressive driveway into the spacious, light, airy, and luxurious reception area, you can feel the warmth, professionalism, and friendliness of the place. It is owned by the Taylor, Floodgate and Yeatman group, famous for their port wine, and each individually appointed room is sponsored and named after a collaborator in the wine trade in Portugal. Each room has a terrace with beautiful views over the old city of Porto on the other side of the river Douro. There is also a heated infinity pool and a first-class spa. Taylor's lodge is just over the road and worth a visit. It is the exceptional level of service which secured our impression that this is one of the world's best hotels, and justifies the fairly high price.
