You will be captivated by the Priorat's marvelous landscapes, resulting from the combination of its wine crops, olives, and dried fruits. The exclusive geographical characteristics, the climate conditions of this region, and the predominance of licorella, typical slat stone in the soil, make possible the high quality of its wines. The cultural richness and landscape diversity of the area are remarkable. You will have dinner at the hotel.
Today, you will have breakfast at your hotel and then leave to visit the small charming towns of Scala Dei and Poboleda and the Scala Dei Monastery, founded by the monks of San Bruno. Barcelona, located at the Mediterranean sea, in the very north of the Spanish coast, is certainly the most cosmopolitan and economically most active city in Spain. It has always proved its will to be modern and to follow the latest international tendencies or be ahead of them. To the tourist, this is evident, specially in its architecture, which so well reflects the general approach to life in this always pulsating city. Of course, Barcelona has an old history, and there are monuments of Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance periods or still before, but the most characteristic is what has been built during the last 100 years.
The Priorat is a unique land. After a century of silence, this quiet, hidden village has become a special site for those with a keen interest in wine.
Everything about Spain exudes passion and sophistication. The bustling outdoor food markets, a collage of flavors, smells, and vibrant colors, add a touch of the exotic to the sizzling paellas and delectable specialties of this sun-drenched county. The hands-on cooking classes will introduce you to the finest Spanish cuisine, using the freshest ingredients and focusing on regional specialties.
