During this retreat you will estay either in a private or a shared room. Each room at the Chateau Lacanaud is unique. While all rooms have their own charms, do not expect to spend too much time indoors. Encased in a region of rolling hills and country roads, your days can take the form of a stroll down the countryside or a bike ride through the vines.
During this retreat, you will enjoy two daily yoga classes, a glimpse of the 12th century in the present day, exquisite riverfront, and countryside castle views, market strolls, a restorative retreat lifestyle, and vineyard vibes along with unique culinary experiences.
During the week, a glorious French chateau will be your home to allow you to feel the medieval setting in modern day that will invite you to embrace the duality between fiery shift and new beginnings.

Wanderluster and native Southerner, Elizabeth has lived, studied, and taught yoga around the world. As a 200 and 500-hour yoga teacher, Elizabeth teaches in the Kaivalya yoga method; a style in both the Ashtanga and Jivamukti lineages that emphasizes intelligent sequencing, precise hands-on adjustments, yoga philosophy, humor, and heart. She is also a certified prenatal yoga instructor and has contributed to and designed teacher training and immersions.
This retreat will take place at Chateau Lacanaud, Dordogne. The Dordogne region of France is known for its wine and culture ranging from the caves at Lascaux to the medieval castles and towns that still dot the river’s edge.
Situated in South West France, Chateau Lacanaud is located between Bordeaux and Toulouse in the Dordogne Purple region, which makes it the perfect central location to explore the region and is also known as the "Pays de Bergerac".
Chateau Lacanaud is centered in a region rich in vineyards and fortified bastide towns, extraordinary natural and historical heritage sites, fabulous and protected countryside, thebeauty of the Dordogne river, the renowned gastronomy and wines of Bordeaux and Beregerac, a rich cultural life, and numerous leisure and sporting activities.

During this retreat you will be served three daily farm to table meals per day. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a wine tasting, an evening with a local sommelier, and a lunch with a wine pairing class.
During your free time, you may wander through some additional castles to explore or gallop off through a vineyard. You may also book a day trip exploring local areas, rent a bike and cruise through the countryside, or simply relax by the pool and chill.
Please book your flight to arrive at Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport (EGC). The Travel Yogi will pick you up from the airport. The pick-up is included in the price.
