"We had a lovely weekend here for my birthday with our Bernese Mountain dog! Mario, Roni, Max and Rosie were all wonderful and we had a delicious dinner at the inn. Breakfast is also not to be missed - the muesli is a personal favorite!"

"We are so lucky to have this quaint and cozy inn on our little Island. The food and atmosphere are enchanting and Roni and Mario are wonderful Innkeepers! On Monday nights, they do a pizza night. Incredible wood oven pizzas are prepared outside in the wood oven and can be eaten there or taken away. The full course meals are spectacular farm to table food choices. I highly recommend this lovely inn. My tenants come from all over the country and they all love The Squire Tarbox Inn on Westport Island!"

"My wife and I were visiting for a wedding and decided to stay at the inn based on its location. We were unexpectedly blown away. This place is amazing. From the initial greet from Roni and her daughter Lara until the departure we had no complaints! It is great to feel welcomed and at home in a place we've never been. Great hospitality for sure. We enjoyed a nice walk through the paths on property and saw the plethora of things to see: flowers, gardens, dock on a saltmarsh pond and watched the sunset, chickens, friendly housecats and dog with all the antique charm on this 1700 square meters property. We had a spectacular dinner on a beautiful evening out on the screened porch, this place truly showcases eating off the land. The chef, Mario even made an appearance! Our room was comfortable and cozy and we enjoyed hearing the wake-up call of the rooster. It just brings you back to how things can be without all of the technology nowadays. We enjoyed breakfast each morning and all in all just had a really great time. We wish we had more time to just stay and enjoy this charming inn. We hands down recommend it and will be back in the future"

"You are being charmed with comfy beds, good foodand in return will go forth viewing goats with affection and understanding."I had the most wonderful vacation of my life here, I feel so lucky that I just happened to find this place on a dog-friendly hotel listing site. This inn is secluded, quiet, unique and gorgeous. The food is amazing and the family owner/operators were very friendly and helpful, yet they also gave us plenty of privacy. The rooms are lovely and there is plenty of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. As well as free WiFi in the parlor. Be sure to stay long enough to explore the woods around the property. There are bikes free for use, the roads are quiet and long. There aren't many cars that drive through. There is a preserve nearby with trails that lead down to the water. It is so beautiful! I really enjoyed my long runs in the morning and evening here. There is a nice six-mile loop around the island that is amazing. There is also a little boat available. Be sure to take it out in the evening, is very romantic! (Be sure to bring bug spray). The dog-friendly rooms are very comfortable and cozy. My dog had a great time here too, and the owners were very nice to her. The inn is a short drive away from the many interesting towns nearby. I'm hoping that I get to visit here again soon. I had such a memorable experience!"
