Set apart from the main house, the four bungalows that make up The Pimenta’s accommodation overlook the stunning tropical garden, abundant in spices and fruit. The lounge or dining area invites you to while away the afternoon in the shade, while the adjoined kitchen urges you to brush up on your culinary skills with some authentic Indian recipes.

The Pimenta consists of four attractive bungalows, built on the hillside a short walk from the main house. Each bungalow consists of a double room with en-suite bathroom, and benefits from a spacious veranda overlooking the garden. The rooms are furnished with two comfortable twin beds, a small wardrobe, desk and window seat, while the bathroom is fitted with a sink or vanity area, lavatory, and shower.
The bungalows feature high ceilings and exposed brick walls, contemporary in style, which are simple, clean, and spacious. In keeping with the eco-friendly values of The Pimenta, the bungalows and communal spaces are fitted with ceiling fans and the hot water is solar-powered with electrical backup.
During the program, the cooking will be hands on and it is a master class based on home cooked Indian as well as Kerala cuisines.

The culinary tours will take place at The Pimenta, Kerala, India. Set in the foothills of the Western Ghats, The Pimenta offers the perfect getaway from the glamour of the big city and an opportunity to get off the beaten track.
During the trip, you will be served three days of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The warm aroma of freshly ground coffee, grown and roasted on the premises, is your daily invitation to breakfast. The traditional American breakfast receives a Keralan twist at The Pimenta, in addition to the standard fare of eggs, bread, muesli, and fruit, you can expect something a little different, such as warmed banana, coconut, and jaggery.
Lunch and dinner are an opportunity to explore the local cuisine. A light lunch is usually served at 1:30 p.m., while dinner kicks off around 7:30 p.m. and spreads over four courses. All meals are vegetarian and prepared from scratch and aim to showcase the very best of Keralan cooking. Food and spices are locally sourced, often from The Pimenta's garden and organic produce is incorporated as far as possible.
For your comfort, tea and coffee making facilities are available in the communal area and you are invited to help yourself to bottled water at no extra cost. Tropical fruits are always available and The Pimenta is happy to prepare fresh smoothies with yogurt for you. If you have any dietary requirements, please inform The Pimenta prior to arrival. Vegan options are available and Ayurvedic meals can be prepared for people undergoing Ayurvedic treatment or taking a rest before or after it.
