We had a great weekend at The Old Cider House. Lynne, Ian, and Ozy, the black Labrador, were all very welcoming. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. It was lovely to have pre-dinner drinks in the cozy, fire-lit sitting room with our fellow guests - Ian's own micro brewed beer went down a treat! Another treat to follow - a delicious dinner cooked by Ian with produce from the garden seated around a long table with Ian, Lynne, Ian's parents, and the other residents which made for a very convivial evening. We enjoyed it so much we repeated the experience the following evening, enjoying Ian's Greek themed extravaganza. A great atmosphere at this bed and breakfast and although we didn't have our dog with us this time, we know he would be very welcome in the future, and he would love the breakfast treats! A great bonus in Nether Stowey is the great parking in the rear courtyard.

Had a wonderful weekend at The Old Cider House. The room was lovely and clean and the dogs were made welcome by the owner and his family. The breakfast was great and the Firmity was a big favorite with guests. There was a Greek themed meal on the Saturday night and the range and quality of food was wonderful. We are veggies and this posed no problem for Ian. He also brews his own beer which also went down a treat!

The Old Cider House is a very comfortable and friendly place to stay. We had a really comfortable four post bed which meant we slept well, the food was extremely good and most of it home grown. We needed to chill out and this is just what we did. Ozzy, the black Labrador was a real character and an absolute delight. Ian and Lynne looked after us very well without being intrusive and by the end of the three days we felt extremely rested, we enjoyed the surrounding countryside which was lovely and we were quite sad to leave.

Lovely hosts, great breakfast, clean and tidy, very helpful and interesting tips and advice, comfy bed, free Wi-Fi, lots to do as it is a beautiful village set in the Quantocks and near to Devon as well. Such a good holiday! The owner also wrote a companion guide to the Samuel Coleridge way, 51 mile-walk. I loved reading this book, nearly finished it now and can't wait to walk it myself. Thanks Ian and Lynn.

We loved our stay at The Old Cider House. The owners were very friendly and helpful and were able to advise us of some brilliant days out and things to do! We thought that the location was great as there are some lovely walks around the countryside in the quiet village (all explained in a handy booklet from the B&B!) but then we also drove 20-25 minutes to nearby towns for beaches. The room (Poets Room) was just what was needed - clean bathroom, comfortable bed and the right size for a couple and our dog! There was also Wi-Fi to use with an honesty box near the front door for its use. When they say dog friendly, they really mean it! Our dog loved his sausages for breakfast! There was easy access to the garden and he also had some homemade biscuits from Ozy (the owners' dog). A nice touch was also giving dogs a tag saying "I'm staying at the Old Cider House", just in case any manage to wander. We enjoyed our stay and we really hope to return again someday!

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, excellent food, loved the beer tasting. I would highly recommend. Ozzie the helpful labrador/waitress is lovely. Its a small village location with a few pubs and a small shop; an ideal base for venturing out and about Somerset.

A really comfortable and friendly bed and breakfast. We were made very welcome including our dog Harvey who appreciated his breakfast sausage! Our breakfast was freshly cooked with eggs that were less than 10 minutes old. There was an off road circular walk that was ideal for the dog. The Ancient Mariner served lovely meals with good real ales.

So nice to go somewhere that can cater for gluten free dairy free and dogs! Breakfast all local and homegrown, eggs from their hens, lush... Going back again because its easy, clean, comfy bed, and very quiet.
