There are two buildings in the property, the original Main Inn and the newly opened Captain Clark House. The Main Inn has a casual seaside elegance that captures the relaxing feel of days long past with wraparound porches, comfortable wicker seating, beautiful flower gardens, and magnificent water views. Nine guestrooms some with private balcony or deck, offer private bath, water views, cable TV, CD player, paddle fans, and air conditioning. Most have queen beds, some have two beds. All of the guestrooms in the main house have been named after famous local New England lighthouses.

Avery Point

Triple windows enhance the beautiful marina view from this cozy guestroom. This room features queen bed and private bath, paddle fan and air-conditioning, cable TV, and CD player.

Little Gull Island

Three sides of windows allow panoramic views of our marina, gardens, and Long Island Sound. A spacious private balcony with seating provides a relaxing area to take in the spectacular water views. Mystic Seaport

Mystic Seaport, the most popular room in The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina, offers magnificent panoramic nautical and water views. The room features queen bed and private bath, fireplace, paddle fan and air-conditioning, two comfortable chairs, cable TV, desk, and CD player. A spacious private balcony with seating overlooks the Niantic River and Long Island Sound as well as the perennial gardens and gazebo.

New London Harbor

"Wraparound views" from this "corner guestroom" boast gardens, gazebo, and great marina views. The room offers queen bed and private bath, fireplace, paddle fan and air-conditioning, two comfortable chairs, cable TV, and CD player.

New London Ledge

Direct views of the marina and Niantic River abound from the triple windows of this guestroom. This unit offers queen bed and private bath, paddle fan and air-conditioning, cable TV, and CD player.

Orient Point

This charming and inviting guestroom features two beds, a double and a twin bed, and can accommodate three people. This room offers private bath, fireplace, paddle fan and air-conditioning, cable TV, and has wonderful views and gentle breezes off Niantic Bay and Long Island Sound.

Race Rock

Located on the first floor, Race Rock, is the inn's most "private" guestroom. This room features a queen bed and private bath, gas fireplace, paddle fan, air-conditioning, cable TV, and a CD player. Private entrance and large deck with two comfortable rocking chairs overlook the marina and the beautiful Niantic River.

Saybrook Breakwater

A favorite among the guests, Saybrook Breakwater is the second "corner room" and provides panoramic views of the Niantic River, the perennial gardens, and gazebo. This elegant guestroom with queen bed, private bath, and fireplace features two comfortable chairs, paddle fan and air-conditioning, cable TV and CD player.

Stonington Harbor

Tastefully decorated, this room features two beds, a queen and a twin, and can comfortably accommodate three people. In addition to a private bath, this room features paddle fan and air-conditioning, cable TV, and CD player. Cool summer breezes and fabulous views of Niantic Bay and Long Island Sound make this room a favorite with guests.

The Captain Clark House, meanwhile, has seaside luxury accommodations decorated in a fresh beach-cottage theme to showcases a blend of historic elegance, seaside decor, and modern day comfort. Seven new guestrooms offer comfortable, soothing and spacious accommodations that are beautifully appointed with wood furnishings, king pillow-top beds, paddle fans and air conditioning, 32-inch flat-screen cable TV and bathrooms with a large "rain-head" shower and oversized deep-soaking bathtub.

Captain's Polly

This cozy guestroom is tucked away on the second floor of the original Victorian house and has windows with views out to the marinas on the Niantic River and views of Niantic Bay, out to Long Island Sound. Nautilus

Two windows and a spacious private balcony with seating provides a relaxing area to take in the beautiful water views of our marina on the Niantic River and views over Niantic Bay, out to distant Long Island Sound. It offers pillow-top king bed, private bath with soaking tub, gas fireplace, paddle fan and air-conditioning, and two comfortable chairs.

Upper Berth room

This cozy guestroom is tucked away on the second floor of the original Victorian house and has windows with some views out to Niantic Bay, and Long Island Sound. It has a pillow-top queen bed, private bath with shower, air-conditioning, and two comfortable chairs.

Following your arrival, staff members at The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina will welcome you with a surprise gift bag. Then, you can have the rest of the day to visit surrounding area or relax in your cozy room. Throughout your stay, you can visit either Jonathan Edwards Winery or Maugle Sierra Vineyards for wine tasting. You will also receive two monogrammed keepsake wine glasses and a bottle of wine to take with you or enjoy while visiting the winery. For dinner, you will receive a 50 USD dining certificate which can be used at several local restaurants of your choice. In the morning, enjoy the warm breakfast in the dining room. Later, you can visit Divine Wine Emporium which offers wines for sampling, a lesson in selection, and a complimentary gift. Your holiday ends on the third day after having breakfast and checking out.

Throughout this wine and culinary holiday, you will visit several wineries and vineyards as well as local restaurants.

Driving directions from I - 95 North or South

  • Take Exit # 74. Turn right onto Rt. 161 south and follow to the end
  • Turn left onto Main Street (also known as Rt. 156)
  • Continue for one block and turn left onto Smith Ave
  • Take first right onto Grand St, left to our driveway and right to the water

Driving directions from New York City

  • For a more scenic route, take Exit #70 just after the Baldwin Bridge. At the end of the exit, take a right onto Rt. 156
  • Follow Rt. 156 and signs to Niantic (approximately 10 miles)
  • Once in the Village of Niantic, you will see shops and the Niantic Cinemas (a movie theater) on your left. At the next light (note the Morton House on the corner), take a left onto Rt. 161 and then your first right onto Grand St. Follow Grand St. to the end, left to our driveway and right on the water

Driving directions from Springfield, Massachusetts / Hartford

  • Take I - 91 South to Exit #22 S (Rt. 9 South - Middletown / Old Saybrook). This is a left hand exit
  • Follow Rt. 9 South to the very end. Take I-95 North toward New London / Providence. Once on I-95 North, follow either of the directions above
