Benoit Couvreur

Benoit has been practicing yoga and meditation on a regular basis since 2010, soon after he met his actual spiritual teacher, Somasekha Ros. He has graduated from Yoga Nisarga International Training School, based in India, where he traveled to attend the training to become a fully qualified yoga teacher. Yoga Nisarga is certified by Yoga Alliance, the largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community whose mission is to promote and support the integrity and diversity of the teaching of yoga.

Yoga Alliance International (Yoga)

Jean ROCCA

Jean is specialised in Ashtanga Yoga. He has also followed a long training to give Tibetan Bowls massages. He started his Yoga practice in India in the city of Calcutta 15 years ago. His philosophy is based on the idea that through the practice of Yoga, we can live our lives in a better way, reduce our suffering, those of those around us and discover Universal Unity. His work focuses on the breath and how to integrate it into a physically active yoga practice in order to create strength, freedom and lightness of beings. Jean and Benoit have been old scholl friends for 30 years.

Véronique Pince

Veronique has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and she’s offering you to discover yourself with yoga sessions or life movement dancing (DMLV). In yoga, the dynamic and static postures allow you through breathing to reach a balance between body and soul. Guided meditations will provide gentleness at the beginning and the end of the session. The DMLV that Veronique teaches for the last 2 years is a kind of meditation in movement. The body, moving naturally and freely will invite you to an inner journey, an intimacy that will liberate you from any tension.

Carline Gauthier

Carline is now 50 years old and she started practising yoga after an accident at the age of 20. She tried different yoga styles over the years and she is now teaching for the last 2 years after a 4 years training with the Institut Français du Yoga. Her teaching is a synthesis between her life as a yogi and a woman, where the important is to always respect the body and synchronise breath with physical capacity. Her yoga practise is a source of inspiration always renewed but still rooted in tradition. Yoga gives freedom to people and can be done everywhere freely.

"Great week of yoga"

I have been to other yoga retreats in Asia but found this one at the FrogS House to be quite different. The chance to spend a week in an idyllic French village such as St Jeannet, in the company of Corinne, Benoit and the rest of their team, and the opportunity to talk on many interesting life relevant topics with fellow yogis was wonderful. For me the retreat was more about gaining further insight into your inner being than mastering complex physical asanas. Plenty to experience

"A beautiful and active yoga retreat in southern France."

Lovely ancient village, very nice accommodations, delicious local food and an exceptional host, guide, teacher Benoît : he is attentive to everyone, very kind and very funny. He introduced us to superb natural and urban sites, telling us the history and fun anecdotes. Benoit makes the retreat unforgettable!

The whole week revolves around a lovely variety of yoga/meditation experiences, followed by a mix of art, culture and nature excursions all in the company of beautiful, kind and welcoming travellers from all over world. It was a real immersion into the gorgeous village of Saint Jeannet.

"The Frogs Hotel"

I liked the day trips and the people I met there. I was very lucky to meet very nice people on that week who made me forget why I was there; yoga.

I was lucky to have 1 hour yoga with another teacher who comes once a week, he was great.

I liked the view of my room.

This was a wonderful week of meditation and yoga in the most spectacular setting- a quaint village above the Côte d'Azur. I loved my accommodations at The Frog's House. Corinne and Benoit are warm and gracious hosts. I liked sitting at the breakfast table with people from around the globe.

Benoit guides the yoga and cultural experiences from a desire to share what's beautiful in us and in the world around us. I enjoyed the places he took us to that included the traditional sites and the unusual (like the picnic at the end of the mountain road at the goat cheese farm).

I loved the culinary lesson with Corinne. She provides delicious food and an atmosphere of welcome. The Frogs House is your home away from home.

I feel renewed.

"Excellent meditative yoga experience in incredible location"

Benoit uses a mindfulness approach to his yoga and meditation which I found to be very warm, relaxing, healing. His use of mantra during some of the morning sessions was very nice to experience. The atmosphere for the yoga was always very comfortable. Benoit was enthusiastic to talk about his own experience which gave a very personal feel to the retreat.

Benoit gave so much of himself during my stay. The excursions were very enjoyable, and he is well versed in the culture and history of the area. He has many local friends and would always introduce us to his friends, again, making it a warm, personable experience.

Jean’s yoga technique was more of a flow. He was warm, friendly and inviting.

It was lovely to meet Corrine and taste her delicious food! The kitchen in which she cooked was well appointed and they were so gracious in letting the guests use it at any time. Coffee and breakfast were great and the picnic lunch was fresh, homemade, organic......so delicious!

The village of St. Jeannet was incredibly quaint; a historic medieval village with cobblestone streets, lovely views of the valley below and the Mediterranean Sea in the far distance. I felt like I was living in a fairytale.

I highly recommend this yoga retreat experience!!!!

"A piece of french paradise"

The Frogs' House is a small and well-run place situated in a charming old mountain village (with the most beautiful baou) and I felt relaxed and welcome from the moment I arrived till the au-revoir-hugs at the airport. The yoga in the local church, the home-made food and the fun and diverse trips to the local areas were great. Benoit, thank you so much for being such a warm, open and funny host :-)

"Happiness in Provence "

This is one of the most well rounded travel experiences I have ever had, and so much fun!! From the yoga to the culinary delights and the opportunities made available to explore the local villages & surrounds. This was complimented by the extensive range of local knowledge shared by Benoit & Corrine. I must add that the group of international travelers of varying ages that had booked into the retreat at the same time were equally impressed. I had never met these people before but now consider them to be friends.

"Lovely experience..."

I loved everything about this experience, Corinne and Benoit are super friendly and warm hosts who made sure we had everything we needed and made me feel at home. The location is superb, the bed and breakfast is super clean and comfortable, breakfast on the outside terrace was divine. I also met and made friends with really great people from all over the globe.

Benoit has such a positive angle to the people he hosts and is very accomodating. He prepares the time spent at FrogsHouse with challenge and excitement (maybe a little too much for people who'd like more systematic information and/or control :-)). Benoit is always there and willing to give good advice or find solution. He's an excellent guide of the area and is very present towards the people he relates to. The area is stunning. The guided hiking trips were wonderful and authentic. The sound bath was awesome too.

"Couldn't have been happier with the experience"

This was quite possibly one of the most amazing experiences of my life so far. Benoit was an absolutely incredible host and tour guide, taking our group of 6-9 people out on daily excursions all around the South of France. There is no way I could have experienced the countryside of France in this way without Benoit/the FrogSHouse! He was very knowledgable about everywhere he took us and incredibly funny and endearing. He takes very good care of his guests, making sure everyone is comfortable and happy. By the end of Day 1, our group became family. The breakfast every morning is delicious and I looked forward to it every day. The view from my balcony room overlooking the Mediterranean and the hills was ASTOUNDING. Every morning I woke up feeling like I was in a fairy tale. This trip was worth every single penny. Do yourself a favor and don't hesitate any longer to book it! I know I'll be back!!

The yoga was different from what I was used to. Benoit's style is more meditative. It focuses more on the mind and breathing. I appreciated the fact that he used other instructors so guests could experience other forms of yoga. Our days were so packed that I found it hard to wake up early the next day to get to the morning yoga, but I understand why yoga is scheduled so early- if it wasn't, we wouldn't be able to go to all the places we went to! So I don't think there was anything I didn't like- it was overall a very positive experience. Thank you, Benoit!!

"This is so much more than a yoga break "

Just back from a really fabulous 4 night stay at the Frogs House which far exceeded my expectations. Benoit and Corinne are lovely, welcoming hosts. The groups are of smallish size meaning that the yoga classes are adjusted to the group and combine all aspects of yoga including meditations. In addition - and what makes this perhaps different to other yoga trips - are the excursions into this beautiful part of France. We hiked into the surrounding hills and visited the beautiful villages perches nearby.

Benoit and Corinne share a great deal of knowledge about the history of the area and aspects of local life as they really are part of the community. I also picked this trip to enjoy fresh and local produce - Corinne makes delicious salads, jams, and yoghurts, salads which can all be enjoyed the village rose wine - which is equally good. I hope to return !

The guests come from all over the world to this yoga retreat so this adds another element of personal growth.

I had a satisfying and relaxing week. Absolutely wonderful!

"Hiking and yoga heaven in the hills of Nice"

This yoga retreat was exactly what my 23 year old daughter and I needed! I'm 59 and love yoga of all kinds, but mostly vinyasa. I have just started meditating and found that this retreat was even more helpful for that practice! There was an AMAZING hike to a waterfall with homemade lunch and local wine that was just perfect, so beautiful and idyllic. We also had a very nice tour of just a few important parts of old-Antibes, not touristy, and a great vegetarian lunch. Benoit is more than a yoga teacher, he's an extraordinary guide and historian of the area. Also very flexible in timing and offerings. I just can't say enough about Benoit, Corinne, St. Jeannet, and our lovely trip.

"FrogS' House, I'm coming back!"

I stayed at FrogS' House for 4 days after a 6 day whirlwind French Riviera sightseeing trip. This was just what I needed. Tucked far away in the beautiful mountains, with spectacular views over the whole Cote d'Azur, the charming village of St. Jeannet is an amazing location for this retreat. We started the mornings with a 7am 1.5 hour yoga session with Benoit and returned to find the most delicious breakfast spread you can imagine (my mouth is watering as I type this...). After this, we get 1-2 hours to freshen up before the daily activities start - we went to a trip to Antibes and Benoit was such a fun travel guide as well. Yoga time again at 7pm, after we hike up the steep streets of the village to get to the top of a water reservoir with sweeping views of the coast. The yoga is very relaxing so if you are expecting to sweat and do a lot of flows, beware. Although you will sweat on the way to the yoga place :) This was exactly the kind of yoga I was expecting and I loved it. I wasn't expecting though that this will be such a fun experience altogether, with all the fun trips and getting to know all the other travelers. I was expecting a few yoga sessions here and there in the beautiful French countryside, but it was so much more. Benoit and Corinne are so friendly and helpful that even if you barely speak a common language, they will make you feel at home (this last sentence to summarize my mom's experience!)

"Unforgettable experiencing Provence in a vielle village"

Corrine and Benoit combine their expertise and warmth in food, the local area, history, and yoga. More than a retreat, they had an itinerary for each day! Travels up and down serpentine roads to villages, Nice, the beach, even including a wonderfully prepared picnic in a special setting with spectacular view. After a full day, left to wander St. Jeanette and be part of a lived village, it was complete with what could be a Michelin rated restaurant. Truly a unique experience!

"With the Frogs !"

Everything, except the fact that I was not staying at the Frogs'house but rather 15 minutes (walk) from there. The path to the Frogs'house is Uphill, which was a bit ... challenging. The rest was very good, The Yoga lessons in the Open-Air over an elevated platform on a hill give a wonderful view of the area, the breakfast are copious, delicious, really nice sharing moments, the Hiking (with the Picnic, wonderful!) and tours around the area were very nice, at last not least the Discussions (on awareness, meditation,..) and exchange with Benoît and the other participants coming from all over the world .. short but really nice experience.

I spent 4 days at The Frogs House in St Jeannet. Frogs House is situated about ½ hour from Nice and easily accessible via bus from Nice airport so ideal if you’re relying on public transport as I was. St Jeannet is a beautiful unspoilt village perched on the hillside. I loved my stay at Frogs House and I immediately felt at home. My bedroom was clean and spacious aswell as the bathroom. The kitchen is huge and so great if you wanted to self-cater and just generally eat your meal there and hang out with other residence. This didn’t feel like a hotel or guest house at all rather like a friendly shared house. On my first day I found my bearings and explored the village which is beautiful and unspoilt with lots of ruelles heading off in all directions. I wandered around and found myself drawn to the mountain overlooking the village which is easily accessible from the footpath in the village. The village itself has numerous water fountains spewing copious amounts of cool spring water. I was in heaven. The 4 days went by quickly and were full and fun packed. Starting off with relaxing morning yoga followed by a wonderful breakfast. Benoit then took us out on various day trips. I was really lucky in that the group of women staying at Frogs House at this time really gelled and we all got on amazingly well. Benoit grew up in the area has a real passion for the region, and was able to share his knowledge. Corrine prepared some great picnics to take out with us meats, cheeses, salads, bread, wine and home baked cakes. For those of us who weren’t exhausted by the days trip we also took advantage of the evening yoga which was taught by various teachers so we had an opportunity of experiencing other types of yoga one of which is sound yoga. I’m a tough nut to crack and thought it wouldn’t have any effect on me but it did and I experienced sensations through sound!! All in all an wonderful few days and thank you to Benoit and Corrine for being amazing hosts.
