This small restaurant is big in uniqueness! Using natural products locally sourced, the food never disappoints! Apart from the restaurant, chef offers often unique cooking classes. Great service and reasonably priced.
I would like to send a huge thank-you to the Flying Apron Inn & Cookery. My fiancé and I planned an Eastern Canada trip this summer from DC and we were just floored by the friendliness and beauty during our two weeks. The Flying Apron Inn & Cookery was the icing on the cake. We were somehow super fortuitous to get two spots on the out-of-this-world “Dining on the Ocean Floor” experience. We cannot describe how amazing this was – a definite bucket list item for adventurers & foodies. Furthermore, my boyfriend chose to propose to me! The staff at the Flying Apron were so helpful to him in helping him plan the proposal. Everything was so well organized.
The Inn is beautiful. We loved how it was family-run. The attention to detail is terrific. The rooms are so well decorated and appointed. Super clean and quaint. The breakfast the next day was wonderful. We spent a pretty penny at the marketplace – had to bring back some souvenirs to remember our vacation! Thanks again for a wonderful trip; we will certainly continue to rave about this experience to all of our friends and family and will certainly be returning in the future.
We enjoyed our "Dinner on the Ocean Floor" in August 2016. It was a truly remarkable experience. The Flying Apron Cookery chef prepared the meal, and it was truly superb. We enjoyed the foraging discussion, the shore boil, the tour of the ocean floor, and the marvelous dinner. The beers and wines were perfect too. The price initially sounds high, but when you consider what all it includes, it is well worth every penny. Plus how often can you say you ate dinner in a place where a couple of hours later would be under many feet of water. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We had a great time cooking with Chris. We learned some new culinary skills, had a great meal, and came home with some new recipes. We definitely had a great time. We will return.

I have been a frequent visitor to The Flying Apron Inn on business trips over the past year or so. Chris and Melissa are such nice people and they run a great B&B. It's a home away from home for me where I get treated like family, even having breakfast with their kids. The Inn is a quiet oasis where you are forced to relax! No phones or TVs in the rooms - how rare is that these days. They operate a really good kitchen and the daily menu reflects the support for local farmers and organic producers. Chris' culinary skills are evidence of his lengthy and varied experience as a chef. The choices on the menu are always inspiring. On my last visit, I attended one of Chris' regular evening cooking classes, this one was on use of winter vegetables. What a good time we all had. I recommend The Flying Apron to stay or dine and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
We really enjoyed the place! It has very scenic area, friendly staff, great desserts, as well as indoor and patio eating. Stop by, you'll enjoy it!
