"The Farm at San Benito is a place wherein rejuvenation and wellness is a guarantee. It is situated in a town in Batangas and away from the hassle and stress of the city life. The place has a total land area of fifty hectares but only ten hectares are fully developed. In line with this fact, the place is surrounded by various kinds and types of plants. From grasses to shrubs to tall and mighty trees. The place is a heaven for vacationers who seek relaxation and cleansing at the same time. They offer dishes that are vegan type. What's fascinating about the place is that they offer dishes fit for vegans and vegetarians. In other words, they don't serve any kind of meat which makes this place a paradise for those who are in the vegetarian and vegan community. Plus, they also ask you prior to your stay if you have a specific diet and a food preference so they know what to serve you. If you're worried about the quality of their food. Worry no more. They ain't named "The Farm" for nothing. The place has its own Farm!! This is where they get their ingredients and make it into a fabulous dish that's put on your plate. The place is certainly a marvelous sight to see. Walking is the only mode of transportation in this place but don't worry. Walking around will not be a burden. Unlike when you're in a city, walking can be a burden because of the extreme heat and smoke from public utility vehicles while in here, unbelievably, walking is as refreshing as a good lather in the tub. You'll feel a little heat but the windy weather will make you feel comfortable. It's the right mixture of heat and air. For me, the place also gets five stars when it comes to amenities. Only ten hectares are developed but these ten hectares are well architectured and engineered. From the organization of the villas down to their man-made waterfalls (yes, man-made waterfalls) the place seems to have everything in its order. Another thing that made me feel at home was the very welcoming and warming staff. From their general manager down to their maintenance team, the staff certainly learned that the best way to connect and make their clients feel at home is through courtesy and respect. They are also accommodating and enthusiastic about what you want to share. Since the place is very open to nature. You might encounter some animals while you're walking or when you're in certain places like the reception or lake, etc., or when you're inside your villa, you might hear some animals because they're just outside walking around as well. But before you have a violent reaction, let me tell you, these animals are completely harmless. You just have to learn to co-exist with them as they co-exist with you. And that's another great thing about this place. They develop the nature of the place but they accepted, remember, and nourish the fact that the place is a habitat for some animals. When regards to their villas, I have to give them five stars as well because the interior is fabulous. Its hip, its modern, but it goes along with the nature and the aura of the place. Its comfortable and spacious even for a group of four. The place really understands how to satisfy their clients with regards to comfort. They have different range of villas for every type of group. You can choose if you want a villa that has its own pool or not. Or maybe if you prefer to have a villa that has a walk-in closet. Plus, in every bathroom they had these salt scrub soap that you can apply to your skin and makes you feel more clean and fresh and it feels magical. And of course, your experience in this place will not be complete without trying their spa services. Their spa services are to die for!!! Because first, unlike other spas, they are generous when it comes to scrub solutions, massage oil, etc. Second, you don't have to worry on what they're putting on to your body because its made from all organic materials and ingredients. Third, the masseur/masseuse are very gentle and are very sensitive when it comes to pressing your body. They always consider if ever you had complications or you had a pressure preferences. They also consider if you had other activities before you make your reservation at their spa which is called "The Healing Sanctuary". There are many more parts in this place that I've explored and I think you should explore too. Its might cost you a little more but every penny that you're going to invest in going to this place will be worth it. You came in stressed out and there's a 150% guarantee that you'll come out looking youthful and relaxed than ever before. If you'll ask me if I'll come back to this place, I certainly will! Even though its quite far from Manila. I know it will be worth it."

"We were a group of 10 friends and stayed for 5 days. It is a heaven on earth: beautiful scenery, nice weather, very relaxing lodges, vegan and organic food, great massages, tour in the farm to see planting the vegetables offered at mealtime, nice pools, raw food cooking classes, coconut being made, and excellent service to the extent of June getting us mangoes to take home. There is not much to see outside the Farm so we stayed there which is stress free. The daily program was meditating under the mango tree; vegan breakfast; yoga and a massage at the very serene spa; swimming; lunch at Alive! Restaurant, the only one in the Farm, which became our meeting place; tea time; tours in the Farm; watching the ostrich family retreat to the mango tree; dinner; and early sleep. A very, very relaxing experience."

"The farm is located in a nice 10 hectares of land, although the resort itself is just around one hectare. The location is nice and quiet, a bit far from the city center. Service is superb, as it should be for the amount of money one has to pay. They provide lots of activities like yoga, meditation, gym, swimming, and really nice, encoring patterns to have an active life. Their food is strictly vegan, no dairy, no eggs, surprisingly I found it quite good. The problem is their menu choices are quite limited. Since they use only organic ingredients they plant in their farm."

"By living in Philippines, I am trying to find places that are perfect. This is one of it! It's a truly 5-star resort. The resort is a vegan one, the spa center offers a wide variety of treatment, and the Sulu houses are chic and very comfortable! The amenities: pure natural made here in the resort from coconut oil. This resort may be good also for a day-trip out of Manila with the kids. The food option for kids is pizza and pasta; however, the food is delicious without any animal products. They have everything to help people in the weight loosing program, but also a lot of free of charge recreation activities like power walking, cross training, yoga, pilates, afternoon tea, etc. There are 2 swimming pools and the property is very wide. Definitely, I will be back!"

"We needed to get back on track after four weeks of indulgence. We stayed at the farm for 7 days of pure vegan food and a lot of light to high moderate exercise (we have neither tried the massages nor medical treatments, so can't comment on that). It was great; we were refreshed and more than satisfied, and best of all, we got our pre-holiday bodies back! In addition, the staff is amazing and the place is gorgeous. Definitely coming back someday! We've also purchased the cookbook and have been replicating some goodness at home with great success."

"I went with my wife in January. I was nervous about going on a 'detox' vegetarian only type diet (only vegetarian food there). Well, it turns out, the vegetarian food was quite good. I expected to starve but was pleasantly surprised to not be. There were a lot of very nice dishes; the soups and appetizers were particularly nice. I would almost say that, as far as vegan food goes, this is likely about as good as it gets. Presentation was always top notch as well."

"The rooms were very good size and had Wi-Fi. We switched from a mid to high 30s pool villa to get a bit further out and away from others. The pool itself was great; heated and lovely. Nothing quite as nice as a late night swim in a nice warmish pool. Temperatures were only in the mid 20 degrees Celsius range so a cool pool would have been a no go; heated, however, it was amazing. Spa treatments were wonderful. Scrubs, facials, steams, and all manner of massages were tried. I quite liked the scalp treatment and the Hilot full 2 hours and 30 minutes treatment. We will return."

"Instead of a review, I will try to define my memories of The Farm at San Benito, after being there 3 times. The clouds are rolling down Mount Malarayat and I can hear the cold gentle breeze brushing to the coconut trees while sitting in the amphitheater. There are shards of light everywhere. You will always hear water flowing; there is lush green all around you. I have never seen a better Petina on lime rocks before. The hidden pool is such a pleasant surprise just across the Sulu terrace, very private, very intimate. The gourmet vegan food is a feast for the eyes and treat to your health, the black coffee is awesome, and the fruit juices are a treat. It is the first time I drank coconut milk freshly squeezed by Manong Henyo, while he shared the process of extracting coconut oil. The Healing Sanctuary has the most special pool I have been in my life, better than the Mandarin Hotel Kuala Lumpur. It has an amazing view of the forest leading to Mount Malarayat. The lobby is so huge, hanging out in the middle of the night that it makes you feel like a king. Even if the place is fully booked, you will feel that you have the place for yourself - so private, so peaceful."
