Day 1 - Arrival at Epernay

Visit the town and champagne houses as Mot & Chandon, Perrier-Jout, Mercier, De Venoge, De Castellane.

Day 2 - Cte des Blancs and Southern Epernay hillsides

You will tour villages well known to champagne connoisseurs: Cuis, Cramant, Avize, Oger, le Mesnil sur Oger, Vertus, and Bergres les Vertus.

Day 3 - Through the Marne Valley from Epernay to Dormans

The day starts with the visit of Hautvillers, the cradle of Champagne before touring some picturesque villages in the Marne Valley or tasting some champagne from local producers.

Day 4 - Montagne de Reims

Drive to the Montagne de Reims and discover famous villages such as Ay, Bouzy and Ambonnay. Observe the weird trees in the Faux de Verzy Forest and continue this tour via Vernezay and its lighthouse and vine museum, Chigny les Roses. You will also visit the beautiful chapels in the middle of vineyards.

Day 5 - Reims

An unforgettable city, both for its champagne and its rich history-expressed through its diverse and sumptuous architecture.

Day 6 - Saint Thierry hills and Ardre Valley

Tour through forests and vineyards to discover ancient, typical villages, beautiful churches and some sites of historical interest.

Day 7 - Cote des Bar

Cote des Bar is another Champagne production area with deep forests and wide valleys where hillsides are covered with vineyards and the famous typical villages start at the foot of the hills.

Day 8 - End of the tour

For a couple of hours, you will forget Champagne to discover Troyes, a Medieval town with a rich past, a broad architectural heritage. During the Middle Ages, Troyes was famous for its fairs.

On the first day, you will visit Epernay. The next two days will be dedicated to exploring the area through the Marne Valley until Dormans. On the fourth day, expect a wonderful tour through the famous Reims Mountain villages. You will discover the historical city of Reims on the fifth day of this vacation. As for the last three days, you will tour through vineyards, forests and sites of historical interests in Ardre Valley, Cote des Bars, and finally Troyes.

This retreat will take place in Champagne region, France. Close to Paris, Champagne is an easy 150 kilometer-drive from Paris and a great introduction to self-drive touring of regional France. It is a true highlight for all lovers of the famed celebratory tipple!
