Five minutes away from the historical city of Tavira, Monte do Álamo is an old farmhouse converted into a beautiful holiday site among almond, fig and olive trees. Let yourself doze in the shade of an almond tree while you wait for dinner or relax in the living room by the fireplace or watch the sunset from your private veranda.
Enjoy the hors d'oeuvre on the terrace looking at the sea, read a book lying on a hammock, have dinner by candlelight in the garden, taste the delicious homemade bread baked in the firewood oven and try the delicious preserves and jams and the typical chocolate and almond truffles.
Monte do Alamo can accommodate until 12 persons in suites and double rooms. Upgrade to suites can be arranged upon request and availability. Larger group of participants may request to stay in a private villa. Please inquire for details.
Classified as agrotourism complex, Monte do Álamo Alamo offers you six bedrooms individually decorated with comfort and good taste. It has three rooms with twin beds convertible in double bed, one double room, one sea suite with private terrace and a wonderful panoramic view over the sea, and one garden suite with a private garden, coffee and tea facilities, and steam shower cabin.
Taste Algarve wish to make you feel at home. All spacious rooms with beautiful views have a private bathroom and free Wi-Fi internet access. All bedrooms have air conditioning unit. In this cooking holidays, Taste Algarve will show you how to carefully select the ingredients so you will be able to do it yourself and to prepare all the recipes easily. People who join this vacation are generally a mix of couples, singles, and friends traveling together. Everyone is there to enjoy the experience of cooking, eating, and meeting new people. Hence, solo travelers are more than welcome to join and meet new people here.
Upon arrival, you will check-in to Monte do Álamo followed by dinner.
You will have your breakfast. Afterward, you will visit the local food market and shop. This will be followed by a cooking class and lunch. Today you may choose to have a cultural activity such as city tour, Fado show, or a visit to a local producer. Some daily activities may be changed according to weather conditions and may vary also with the season or the day of the week. Participants will be informed in advance of any possible changes. Dinner is included on this day.
Today, you will have your breakfast followed with a boat trip through Ria Formosa with a picnic on a beach island. Check-out is until 12:00 p.m. On some days, the boat trip may leave later but do not worry as you may leave your luggage at Monte do Álamo at no cost.
