Oktoberfest is the largest folk festival in the world, held annually in Munich, Germany, it pays homage to the world-class Bavarian art of beer brewing, and there is lots of fun to have outside the beer tents. The hallowed fairgrounds on which these beer tents lie, are over 100 acres in size and host dizzying assortments of carnival rides and side shows. Beer is the main topic of this brief but unforgettable tour, you will taste a lot beer types and get deep into the beer culture, but you will also have the chance to taste some German delights that get along well with a glass of beer.

You will spending 3 nights in a 3.5-star hotel, located at the Sendlinger Tor Gate, in Munich’s Old Town. The Oktoberfest is a 10-minute walk away, as well as the Munich Central Station and Munich’s Town Hall at Marienplatz Square. Sendlinger Tor subway station is a 2-minute walk away, offering travel via U-Bahn, tram, and bus to any part of Munich.

Friday, September 15 - Welcome to Germany!

After you check-in to the hotel, get the celebration started by meeting your tour manager in one of Munich's legendary beer venues. Raise a beer to toast the beginning of a weekend for the record books. Oktoberfest begins tomorrow.

Saturday, September 16

Watch the grand entry parade of Oktoberfest proprietors and landlords as they make their way to the Oktoberfest grounds (Theresienwiese). The parade begins just outside of your hotel. You can choose to line up extra early (around 07:00) at the Schottenhamel tent to catch a glimpse of the Mayor tapping the ceremonial first keg of Oktoberfest beer. When you hear the cannon blast at noon, "O'zapft is!” which means "It's tapped" and Oktoberfest has officially begun.

Sunday, September 17

For a look into true Bavarian culture and tradition, one should not miss this morning’s costume and riflemen’s parade. Do not forget that Oktoberfest is not only about beer, it is a massive community fair featuring amazing carnival rides and attractions, surrounded by a city rich with history.

Monday, September 18 - Auf wiedersehen!

It's time to say auf wiedersehen to Munich as your tour comes to an end after breakfast.

It is best to book a flight that arrives no later than 12:00, so that you may check-in to your room before meeting your tour managers.

Arrival by shuttle

You may purchase the airport shuttle bus online in advance, which departs every 20 minutes and takes you to the Hauptbahnhof (Central Train Station).
