You will stay at Villa Antonio, a traditional pool villa located in a prime location from where to explore Zakynthos Island. Set in over 2000 square meters of private-fenced land and olive grove, this stylish villa offers comfort and breathtaking views in a peaceful setting in the countryside. A lifetime experience carefully designed to take you away from your routine and into your dream holiday. Your days on Zakynthos will be packed with immersing in the local culture, learning the secrets of Greek cuisine, swimming, sightseeing, relaxing, and dining in the finest restaurants.

They planned this week thoughtfully to offer you the best of the best culinary experience you could ever have on a Greek island. Every day will be different, with the mornings starting with a healthy breakfast, some cooking lessons, then exploring the island by boat and skipper or by car and driver.

Please note that this itinerary is for guidance only and is subject to change depending on the group’s needs and wishes but is usually as follows:

Day 1: Arrival and welcome dinner in romantic Zakynthos town

Meet your host Antonio at Zakynthos airport, who will transfer you to your accommodation and will tell you about all the things to see and do in this diverse resort. Take your time to unpack and settle into your new surroundings and enjoy a light welcome lunch by the pool.

This evening, be welcomed in a yard of endless taste to enjoy Zakynthian cuisine at its best. In a colorful and upbeat environment, sit back and let your senses take in every moment of taste, aromas, colors, and style. It’s an amazing way to feel welcomed and relaxed on the beautiful island.

Day 2: Master the techniques of making “Mousaka” and spend the day at the cave spa

Enjoy a traditional Greek breakfast: free-range eggs, freshly baked bread, and Greek yogurt with honey, just for starters. Today, you will be cooking with your host, Effie. Master the techniques of making the Greek-famous Moussaka. Next, indulge in a revitalizing olive oil therapy and cave spa experience, in the nearby Tsilivi resort.

Based on the ancient Greek tradition of using olive oil and water, you will experience the olive oil-based body therapy, “Golden Hour”, which will relax and soothe your body and prepare your skin for a healthy long-lasting tan. Travel around Zakynthos through the textures and fragrances of Zakynthian olive oil, herbs, and aloe vera before you can use the cave spa facilities at your leisure.

Enjoy a light lunch here before returning back to Laganas for some good rest before you join your hosts for dinner to enjoy that creamy Mousaka you helped to prepare.

Day 3: Learn to make “stuffed vegetables” and swim at Heavenly Dafni Beach

Wake up at your own pace and enjoy a relaxed morning. Later, join chef Athina to learn the art of cooking delicious stuffed vegetables, a traditional light dish, all bursting with vitamins, summer colors, and great aromas. You will also learn to make the legendary tzatziki and Greek salad. Athina welcomes questions, as she is proud to share her knowledge and expertise in Zakynthian cuisine.

While tonight’s dinner is cooking, you will travel a short distance to the Heavenly Dafni Beach with turtle nests scattered all along the golden sands. Time, now to truly unwind and enjoy a heavenly afternoon relaxing under the shade of the trees and swimming in the crystal clear waters.

Feeling hungry? With a delicious beach lunch, there’s no need to even leave this slice of paradise. With the sun and the tickle of the waves against your toes, what more could you possibly ask for? In the evening, join your hosts, Effie and Antonio, for dinner and indulge in your own incredible creation, accompanied by Antonio’s chilled house wine.

Day 4: Sample local products, turtle boat trip, and fine dining at Grampsas winery

The inspiration of the day will come from the authentic and peaceful lifestyle in the villages. The first stop is at Lithakia village to visit the olive press and museum to learn how the humble olive is transformed into the precious oil that gives Zakynthians their lust for life and sample the extra virgin olive oil with warm village bread.

Next stop is at Keri village to embark on an incredible private turtle boat trip. Spot and even swim alongside some of the graceful loggerhead turtles. Swim at the breathtaking Keri caves and next head to the heavenly “Marathonisi Island", natural and intriguing, with beautiful sands and caves to explore, it’s the perfect place for snorkeling, swimming, or just a paddle. Complement this delightful experience with a beach picnic.

Enjoy some free time to rest before visiting the Grampsas winery and restaurant in the late afternoon. Guided by the winery’s master sommelier, learn about the traditional wine-making process, discover the secrets of the island’s grape varieties and explore their traditional cellar. In the winery’s garden, enjoy a wine tasting followed by an exceptional wine dinner with the signature of the internationally acclaimed chef, Stavros Yfantidis.

Day 5: Cruise to the Shipwreck beach and the Blue Caves and sunset dinner

Enjoy another day in paradise with many opportunities to take amazing photos. Around midday, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime private sailing experience with a skipper towards the captivating northwest coast of Zakynthos. Spend the day sailing and swimming at secluded coves, crystal clear water, dramatic sea caves, and white sandy beaches before you arrive at fascinating Shipwreck Bay.

The natural backdrops to today’s images are guaranteed to be incredible and unique. Complete the day with a magical sunset dinner in a traditional taverna. Imagine captivating views over rugged crags and the ocean below and a juicy rich BBQ dinner with organic local fresh produce.

Day 6: Day tour to the archaeological site of Olympia and seaside dinner

Are you ready for an experience you will never forget? Early morning, board the ferry for a short crossing (1.5 hours) from Zakynthos to Kyllini port, as today’s private tour takes you to the legendary Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Wander the archaeological site, admire the Ancient Stadium, the Temple of Zeus, the artwork of ancient artist Phidias, and explore the archeological site. This place is a must for Ancient Greece lovers!

Enjoy a light lunch near Olympia, before taking the ferry back to Zakynthos. You will have enough time to relax before a relaxing seaside gourmet dinner overlooking the calming Agios Sostis bay.

Day 7: Explore romantic Zakynthos town and dine under the stars

On your last day in Zakynthos, discover hidden gems, and the amazing history, culture, and architecture of the old town. Take a blessing from the island’s patron saint at St. Dionysius church, relax at a café on the edge of Solomos square, before you visit the local market and shop for top-quality local products, delicacies, and souvenirs.

Next, enjoy a delicious lunch by historical San Marcus square before you return back to the villa to enjoy some good rest. On your last evening in Zakynthos, discover another culinary paradise where the chef creates flavors inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, using techniques of French gastronomy.

It will be a gastronomical journey through traditional Greek cuisine combined with modern culinary techniques. You will dine under the stars with panoramic views of the Ionian Sea in a dining venue where luxury meets simplicity.

Day 8: Departure day

This morning, make the most of your final moments to do a little last-minute shopping on Laganas Main Street, or head to Laganas beach, to feel the softness of the water, one final time. You will be taken to the airport or port in plenty of time for your departure. Then, as they say, “Kallo Taxidi!” Have a safe journey home and remember your experience for years to come.
