What began as a plan to walk the Camino over a year ago turned out to be one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. We had the best Camino guides with Frank and Lu, who will become our friends for life. The hotels we stayed in were excellent and we were introduced to new varieties of Spanish cuisine. We did the last 118 kilometers but I have resolved to do the full Camino within a few years. Special shout-out to our helpful and always smiling driver, Raul. He taught us how to eat zamburinas with a knife. I highly recommend Spanish Steps if you want to have a life-changing experience.

This is my 2nd Camino group thru Spanish Steps and each one has been great. When I thought that the first experience couldn't be surpassed, I was so far from the truth. The second one proved to be an even better experience with professional and caring guides like Lu and Frank, as well as a very accommodating owner, Judy Colaneri, and her stalk, Mary Jaffrey and Cuqui de Fumes. They have a very smooth, efficient operation, and they care so much about meeting their clients' desires on the Camino. They are such a loving and helpful crew and I cannot say enough good things about them. I have no doubts that a Camino experience thru Spanish Steps will be the best experience you can have. It's a personal journey, but they do everything possible to make the experience as fulfilling as can be in all aspects. I highly recommend them for a great Camino experience.

Well organized with terrific drivers and guides. Accommodations and meals were beyond compare. My husband (age 80) and myself (71) just finished the 8 day tour on May 9. It was physically challenging but the company, scenery, and van assist made it doable with a sense of accomplishment when done. Lu and Fran were terrific leaders!"

As a novice pastel painter, I loved the gentle introduction to the medium that Mary provided; the explorations of pastel hues and values made the colors and textures of the Austrian countryside come alive.

Thank you for all that you did to make each day of our trip so special. Like wedding planning, there are so many details, seen and unseen, that go into planning such a successful time. Thank you for your professionalism, your easy going nature, your positive attitude and your patience. You have a gift for this sort of hospitality.

What a trip! I have the most amazing time: blisters, rain, mud, and everything. I loved it, loved it! I am already looking forward to my next adventure with you and Spanish Steps. It has been my pleasure meeting you and I am so glad you were on this trip. Thanks again and happy travels!

Many thanks Judy! Geno, Bonnie, and I loved the Camino, the company, the guides - Jorge, Mario and Guillermo, and the many vistas, chance encounters and variety of experiences we encountered. It was just the right fit for us. Geno of course walked every single step of the way, body surfed in the Atlantic at Finisterre with the guides and was our truly Camino spirit. I was so touched by so many of the pilgrims we kept meeting and greeting including the Pilgrim Mass with the sensor. The “picnics” and the quemada were of course special. Bonnie keeps talking about it, hence my recommendation that our son, Alex do it again but from Oviedo. Safe travels and we look forward to walking again with Spanish Steps! Un abrazo!
