Alpas is a beach resort located in Tobias Fornier, Antique. It offers the environmentally conscious traveler a genuine local’s experience, with a focus on sustainable dining, accommodations, and support for the local community.

They have their own permaculture garden and 80-seat, all-bamboo restaurant, committed to serving homegrown produce and featuring products from the Philippines, focusing mainly on Antique and the region to support the local community. From the food they grow and serve, the service they give to the accommodations they provide, they strive to provide an experience that stems from the quality, craftsmanship, and integrity it takes to create it.

Alpas supports local, fair trade, socially and environmentally-conscious establishments by featuring their products in their restaurant, guest rooms, and gift shop. They harvest from our own organic garden or local organic purveyors, so their menu changes daily.

They source from suppliers that are like-minded in empowering the craftsmen behind their products. From the dishwashing soaps to coffee, they are celebrating Philippine-made goods.

They wish to be a zero-waste, single-use plastic-free zone.

Their staff is well trained and well educated in our philosophy, to help spread awareness of the importance of preserving traditional crafts and valuing high quality, unique Philippine-made goods over cheap, mass-produced imports.

Alpas is a lesser-known Tagalog word meaning “to be freed...unconfined...unbound”. For Alpas, they are the physical realization of this term.

For travelers looking for an unfiltered, genuine locals experience, Alpas provides a quiet refuge from the confines, pollution, and noise of the city. With a focus on creating a unique and delicious dining experience, they invite adventurous culinary explorers to discover how local ingredients are organically grown on their property.

Participants will also have the opportunity to support the livelihood of their community partners through a variety of activities arranged during their stay at Alpas. And of course, yoga sessions by the beach are to be expected of this retreat.

Alpas in Filipino means "to be freed; to go beyond." Alpas invites their guests to feel free to be themselves and to be open to new experiences, all of which are tied to and directly benefiting local artisans and producers who call this province home.
