"I really enjoyed my first singles holiday with Solitair. I was nervous about going, but I had so much fun. I had a wonderful time. There were eight of us in the group; we were a mixed bunch, but we all gelled well and had a real laugh."

"I have just returned from seven nights in Sharm el Sheikh at the Eden Rock Hotel with Solitair. I was apprehensive about going to Egypt at a time where there is so much unrest in the world but I had nothing to fear. From arrival and throughout our whole stay, the manager and his staff at the Eden Rock Hotel treated our group of five like VIPs and they all went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Because the Eden Rock is a fairly small hotel, the staff were able to give a more personal service than huge hotels, which made us feel very welcome. The daily towel art on our beds was nothing short of genius! The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring all Naama Bay had to offer and there is something for everyone of all ages. Our Solitair representative was wonderful. He made absolutely sure that anything we particularly wanted to do or see was made possible. He even organized a surprise birthday party for one person of our group, complete with cake and candles. His local knowledge was comprehensive and came out and around with us to guide and advise us on fun things to do. Our evening out dancing at the Hard Rock Café was so much fun and he made sure us ladies had no unwelcome approaches from men, he even protected our handbags while we danced. All in all, a fantastic holiday which I would recommend. I just cannot wait to go back again."

"For me, the highlights of the Sri Lanka tour were the beaches, which were mostly quite quiet and rural, as well as clean and safe. On the last day before returning to Colombo, we went white water rafting; I was not sure this would be for me, but it was incredibly fun. Colombo is a beautiful city, too, especially the British colonial architecture, which is still quite surprising to see in such a tropical climate. Kandy was great for architecture, too! The hotels were all very nice and the staff was attentive and welcoming, which is always good."

"I knew that Sri Lanka was beautiful and really wanted to go, but this tour opened up my eyes to just how beautiful and wonderful this country is. I loved learning about the ancient traditions of the people and exploring all the Buddhist and Hindu temples. The hotels were fantastic, especially the Jetwing St. Andrew's Hotel, which was in some of the most beautiful countrysides that I have ever seen. If you enjoy learning about new cultures while getting to know a new group of people, then this tour is for you!"

"My singles holiday to Mexico was the best experience from start to finish. Everything was organized so well. I will book again with Solitair, as they gave me not just a great holiday but the confidence to go alone again with real confidence. I met a superb group of Solitair singles and we all got on so well, we are all in touch since the holiday and will be booking again next year. The one thing I did not like was saying goodbye at the end of the holiday."

"I recently got back from Kerala; I do not usually write on forums, but this was a really special holiday. It was brilliant! The hotels were all great and had four-star rating. The food was good in all of them, except in Cochin, and the best was at the Travencore, where you stay for the second week. This is a fabulous hotel, the location is second to none, and the people and food are fabulous. There were no bars in any of the hotels, in the Travencore we used to meet for a drink by the swimming pool. Wine is about 18 or 20 GBP a bottle and the beer is cheap. Maybe buy some alcohol in duty-free shops before you go or you can buy locally if you want to get together before dinner in your rooms or terrace. There are very few bars or restaurants outside any of the hotels, but the hotel food was wonderful. Remember this is a very unspoilt area, not like Goa at all. We tended to have earlyish nights, as there is not much else to do after dinner, but we did not mind, as we were up early, even in the second week. The hotels are smart casual in the evening, so do not wear shorts. The houseboat on the backwaters was the highlight of the week, it was fantastic! You will be very comfortable. Although the ensuite bathrooms are a little basic, they are absolutely fine. The food is very good as well. You will not be disappointed. Although I could have done two nights instead of one! It was very hot, around 93 or 95 degrees Fahrenheit. It was also quite humid. At night, it was still pretty warm. Mosquitoes did not seem too much of a problem but take some sprays. The coach they used was pretty old and noisy but it was air-conditioned, though I think they are getting a new coach. When you get to the Greenwood Hotel for the wildlife sanctuary, go on the trek, not the boat trip. The trek was fantastic and you will see more animals. When you arrive at Trivandrum be prepared to wait quite a while for your bags, it is India! Shree, your representative, will be there to meet you, he is really nice. I would do the trip all over again if I could; though I would personally miss out the Cochin bit. Enjoy!"

"This holiday was quite simply amazing. Our guide, Raj, and driver, Sabu, were both fantastic and Raj's flexibility meant we saw and experienced sights, people, events which were unexpected and really made the holiday. The boat trip was a real highlight and all of the hotels, except the Uday Samudra, were fantastic. I cannot recommend it enough. Two things that would improve it: the connecting flight home to Gatwick can only be caught with a great deal of luck and a following wind, leading to a six hours and 30 minutes wait at Dubai, either choose flights with a smaller margin for error or warn travelers that there will be this layover; and, ideally, the holiday length would be 10 days. I could not have stood eight days at the Uday Samudra and those of my friends who stayed said it was too long, but coming home so soon after the long and wonderful tour, especially with aforementioned delay left me needing a holiday. However, the tour provided many unforgettable experiences and I would recommend it to anyone with a taste for adventure."

"This was my very first cruise experience aboard the Louis Cristal and it was an extremely enjoyable holiday. I would recommend this to anyone. The cruise ship, food, service, and staff were excellent. Sian, our Solitair representative was very helpful and informative. Everyone had a fabulous time."
