Accommodation

During this tour, you will stay for seven nights in a boutique hotel in trendy Sant Antoni neighborhood.

Program

Day 1: Meet and greet

After everyone has arrived and settled into the hotel, you will gather for a meet and greet and unveil the full itinerary for the tour. You will celebrate the reunion over a delicious tapas-style dinner.

Day 2: Gracia neighborhood tour and oil tasting

After an abundant Catalan breakfast buffet at the hotel, this day holds your first market visit in store! You will tour the Gracia neighborhood, stroll around, and visit local artisanal shops. You will do an olive oil tasting at a specialty shop owned by a friend of Camila's and fellow Slow Food member. Then comes lunch at a wonderful local restaurant. In the evening, you will have your first cooking lesson and then sit down to feast on the fruits of your labor.

Day 3: Visit to Gaudi building

This day begins with a visit to Camila's favorite Gaudí building, followed by lunch at a place highly valued by locals. In the afternoon, you'll have some free time and in the evening, you'll share dinner at a local bistro that is another one of Camila's favorites.

Day 4: Tour of the Gothic Quarter and Raval neighborhoods

You will get a guided tour of the Gothic Quarter and Raval neighborhoods, the only way to navigate the tourist traps and find the real gems. A late second breakfast of hot chocolate and churros at a very antique spot will sub for lunch. In the evening, you will have your second cooking workshop as a group.

Day 5: Guided walk in the Collserola hills

Enjoy a guided walk in the Collserola hills behind the city, with an expert gastro-botanist to lead the way, culminating in a picnic lunch prepared by staff. After returning to the city, you'll have some free time in the afternoon for optional activities. In the evening, you will have the honor of cooking in Camila’s own home kitchen, followed by dinner in her lovely home.

Day 6: Visit to an organic farm and night out in a cocktail bar

Visit an organic farm on the outskirts of the city. After a tour of the farm (and more surprises), lunch will take place there, under the trees (weather permitting), with a fresh meal, the epitome of local fare. In the evening, you’ll go out to a cocktail bar in a trendy neighborhood, in a renovated hardware store, with gourmet small bites and live music.

Day 7: Stroll along the beach

In the morning (don’t worry, you will be given time to sleep off the cocktails), you'll head to the beach after breakfast and stroll around the popular coastal Barceloneta neighborhood. A tapas lunch by the sea is a typical way to spend a Sunday. Laze around a bit, digesting your meal, or take a stroll, or go the spa or the salon to prep for tonight, but make sure you work up an appetite for the fancy farewell dinner in a special venue.

Day 8: Farewell

Finally, after breakfast, you will say your goodbyes with a full stomach and heart!
