During your holiday, you will be staying in charming 4-star hotels. You will spend three nights in Scopello or Castellamare, two nights in Cefalù, and two nights at Palermo.


Day 1 (Arrival to Palermo - Scopello or Castellamare)

Arrival at Palermo Airport (PMO) with a warm welcome by Sicily By Experts di Fransicile's English speaking driver, where he will guide and transfer to their special hotel either in Scopello or Castellamare.

You will be warmly greeted with a welcome drink and meeting with their facilitator for an introduction to the philosophy of relational tours by in the Soul of Sicily.

You will then have a dinner in a local restaurant to indulge down the Trapanese cuisine, unique melting of Arab, Spanish and Mediterranean tastes.

After dinner, you will head back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 (Traveling into the past - Segesta - Buseto Palazzolo - Custonaci)

Kick start the day with breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for Segesta, a 5th century BC ruins set in a magical site. Visit the temple by yourself to take a great picture of this giant monument.

You will then transfer to Buseto Palizzolo, bucolic landscape surrounded by green hills, cultivated valleys and ancient rural buildings, immortal charm of the province of Trapani.

A trattoria (typical small restaurant) will welcome you with an inviting atmosphere to enjoy hearty meals and dishes of excellent quality, cooked with passion and experience.

After lunch, you will visit a solitary country place, which shows the real part of rural life in Sicily to taste one of the most famous Sicilian delicacies like the Cannolo. They say their pastries are the biggest in Sicily.

Then, it is time to dive back into the past heading to Custunaci to immerse yourself and experience the atmosphere of a time. You will go inside a very large cave (Mangiapane Cave), which has been dated back to the Upper Paleolithic to make bread, ricotta or some baskets with the same methods in XIX.

You will then head back to the hotel and have dinner on your own.

Day 3 (Pastry - salt and olive oil - discovering the history of salt and olive oil in charming Marsala)

You will have breakfast at the hotel and depart for Erice. This is the best preserved medieval town in the world, rich of castles and churches. Enjoy a breathtaking view from the hilltop.

Stop in a historical pastry shop in Erice to learn about the tradition of Dolci Siciliani made by nuns and you will have the opportunity to taste and sample it.

Have a typical lunch in a baglio under the olive trees, then followed by an olive oil tasting, and visit of the resort.

You will then embark to a special excursion during this trip. The coast from Marsala to Trapani is characterized by one of the landscapes most peculiar to Sicily, which the saltworks. You will reach Mothia islet, walking to the ancient streets and visiting the Whitaker Museum with the well known marble statue of the Giovinetto of Mozia dated 450 BC.

You will then head back to the Stagnone and head to the Museum of Salt that recounts the different stages involved in collecting salt from the saltpans. You will also have a salt tasting session.

Finally, you will have an aperitif dinner in a trattoria that overlooks the saltpans. This is a charming place. After dinner, you will head back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 4 (The glory of the past - Agrigento - Cefalù)

Kick start the day with breakfast at hotel and check out.

Depart to Agrigento to visit the beautiful valley of the temples, where you will have a private guided tour with a specialized guide. The archaeological ruins of the Greek domination are numerous and they were visited and narrated by Goethe in his work, Viaggio in Italia. In the middle of the valley, there is the most spectacular structure, which is the Concordia temple.

You will have a delicious picnic lunch at the Kolymbetra park. This Garden has fruit trees from every part of the world and some of the trees are over 1,000 years old! You will be surrounded by pomegranate, pistachio, orange and lemon trees, and will enjoy a typical Sicilian lunch served to you outdoors, complete with local fruit, cheese and wine. This will be surely one of the highlights of your trip.

Then, you will transfer to Cefalù, where you will check in at a 4-star hotel.

You will have dinner on your own and overnight

Day 5 (Suspended by land and sea - Castelbuono and Cefalù)

You will begin your day with breakfast at the hotel and depart for Castelbuono.

Then, you will learn about beekeeping in the Madonie Park, where you will discover honey, propolis, royal jelly, and pollen. There will also be a sensory lesson and tasting of several different kinds of honey to learn and recognize smells and honey color.

You will then have lunch and tasting of the Madonie cuisine with typical dishes (some of which are made with honey).

Walk around the medieval streets of Castelbuono to recount the architecture and to portray glimpses and ancient crafts in the company of a photographer. Your visit wouldn't be complete without tasting the famous Fiasconaro’s Panettone.

Depart for Cefalù and visit The Norman Duomo that contains precious mosaics, which adorn the apse and a representation of Christ Pantocrator, The Giudecca and the jewish ghetto, the striking medieval wash-house, and the Mandralisca Museum, which is the latter preserving the famous portrait of an unknown man by Antonello da Messina.

Enjoy a delicious fish dinner facing the sea in a local restaurant then overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 (Between nature, art and artisans - a unique train in Cefalù and Palermo)

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel and then, check out.

This morning, you will embark on a special urban trekking, where you will start along the slopes of Rocca with an exceptional narrator guide. The stories and sounds will make you live unique emotions through the story of Cefalù, Megalithism and the East, the temple of Diana and the cult of water.

You will enjoy a special picnic lunch at Rocca, a magical place where you can admire the city in the company of local products.

You will then transfer to Palermo and check in at a 4-star hotel.

You are then ready for a unique visit of Palermo, where you will discover monuments and artisan small workshops on tiny side streets.

Head back to the hotel and have dinner on your own.

Day 7 (Charming of UNESCO sites - Palermo, and Monreale)

Have breakfast at the morning. Then, you will spend your morning with a special walking tour of Palermo dedicated to street food. This is a 3-hour walking tour, where you will sample the best of Sicily’s street food, led by a local expert guide. You will explore the fascinating culinary world of Sicily’s Capital and will taste five different Sicilian treats along the way.

During the tour, you will also pass major Palermo monuments including the Palermo Arabo-Normanna and Palermo Barocca. Round out your tour with some local sweet wine and seasonal dessert.

You will have lunch on your own. Then in the afternoon, you will explore Monreale with the priest of the Cathedral, who is the special guide for the day to explain to you, the splendid 12th century mosaics and the cloister.

After that, you will have free time to wander the city and do some last minute shopping.

At night, you will have a farewell dinner in a nice restaurant and then, head back to the hotel for a night.

Day 8 (Departure)

Begin your day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel and a private transfer will transport you to Palermo Airport (PMO).
