Check-out Time:

During your stay, you will be accommodated in various homestays and hotels in different locations in North India. You will spend two nights in Delhi, two nights in the organic farm (Rajasthan), two nights in Jaipur (Rajasthan), three nights in Amritsar (Punjab), one night in Bharatpur (Rajasthan), one night in Agra (Uttar Pradesh), and three nights in Chamba (Himachal Pradesh). You will be beginning and ending your journey in Delhi.

Please note that the accommodation would be in twin shared basis. Single participants would have to pay to an extra fee for a private room.


Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Arrival in Delhi airport, where you will be met and accompanied to your hotel. Check in and time to rest. After a session of massage, your first culinary class begins at chef's home where you will get a taste of Indian cooking, followed by dinner.

Day 2: Organic farm

After morning breakfast, you will be driven around 6 hours to an eco-friendly accommodation in the country side amidst organic farm. For the rest of the day, you are free to relax or explore the farm.

Day 3: Organic farm

After breakfast, you will attend a cooking workshop. Take a camel cart tour for 3 hours exploring the country side and ending with a view of the sunset. Today, you will be staying overnight at the farm.

Day 4: Jaipur

After morning cooking class and lunch, you will drive to Jaipur, the pink city of India. Once you reach you will taken directly to the Monkey temple in the evening before checking in. Today, you will be staying overnight in Jaipur.

Day 5: Jaipur

Relish the beauty of Jaipur, by visiting and exploring the pink city area and fulfilling your shopping needs. Thereafter, you will have a cooking class with a renowned nutritionist and chef.

Day 6: Bharatpur

After breakfast, drive to Bharatpur, the land of birds. You will be staying close to the bird sanctuary and you can enjoy a free day exploring the bird sanctuary, or going for a bicycle ride. Overnight stay in Bharatpur.

Day 7: Agra

Drive early morning to the famous Taj Mahal. Later, you will have breakfast. Thereafter, you will drive back to the India's capital city Delhi and stay overnight there.

Day 8: Amritsar

Early morning train to Amritsar, famous across India for food and the Golden Temple. You will be served breakfast on the train itself. Check in to the homestay in the country side. Thereafter, learn North Indian delicacies in a cooking class.

Day 9: Amritsar

Today, you will visit the famous Golden Temple, the spiritual center of people from Sikh religion. You will visit the kitchen in the Golden Temple as well the dining hall where more than 80 thousands of people eat food every day. You will have a cooking class in the evening where you will continue to learn about North Indian cuisine.

Day 10: Chamba

Drive early in the morning to the foothills of Himalayas, reach Chamba in Himachal Pradesh. There, you will have an early evening cooking class after siesta.

Day 11: Chamba

After a good breakfast, tie up your hiking shoes and start the guided trek across the villages exploring an old temple and the pine forest. Continue back to the orchard hut for a well deserved lunch and rest.

Day 12: Chamba

Start you day with an early cooking class today after your healthy breakfast, so that you don't miss the chance to see the spectacular sunrise.

Day 13: Amritsar

You will take a drive to Chamba city after breakfast where you will enjoy some shopping and exploring the Lakshmi Narayana temple which was built in the 10th century. Later on, you will head back to Amritsar and stay for the night.

Day 14: Delhi

You will take an early morning train from Amritsar and reach Delhi by noon. Spend some time relaxing by yourself. In the evening, depending on the availability you will go for either a music concert or theater followed by dinner.

Day 15: Departure

You have your checkout by 11:00 a.m. Till that time you are free to explore the capital to go sightseeing and explore. You will be transferred to the airport as per your flight departure.

Please note that this culinary tour is for food enthusiasts only. It will involve a lot of cooking classes and they will always take priority over sightseeing. Please also note that if you are a group of 4 or more, Saveur Nomade can organize a special tour for you as well.

Participants are advised to bring along the following items.

  • Reusable water bottle
  • Winter jacket for stay in Chamba
  • Light warm jacket for nights in other places
  • Restrict their baggages below 20 kilograms
  • Head torch, pocket knife
  • A small medicine kit including ear plugs, mosquito repellant, sunscreen, medicine against diarrhea, intestine regulator, immunity booster, altitude sickness and antiseptic
