I loved Riad Anata so much that I ended up extending my stay! From the amazing breakfast on the rooftop to the comfortable rooms, not omitting all of the insta-worthy spots around the home, this was the perfect oasis in the medina!
Riad Anata is a beautiful place to unwind from the busy Fes medina. The riad is beautifully decorated and has an amazing terrace. The owner, Valerie, is the perfect host and she will give you a lot of tips for Fes (and help booking restaurants) as well as other plances in Morocco! The Riad Anata staff also helped us arranging a cooking course with Fatimazahara which was the highlight of our stay in Fes! We went with her to the market to buy all we needed for the dishes. We cooked two tajines, four salads and pastilla. Everything was delicious and very easily explained by Fatima (who speaks perfect English, French, and Spanish!). Highly recommended!
Even if you are not staying at Riad Anata you can book dinner there in advance and enjoy their beautiful terrace.
A traveler United Kingdom
As a travel writer who covers boutique hotels around the world, Riad Anata is truly a little gem in a quiet part of the busy medina of Fes. Each room has its own unique character, elegantly designed and bursting with colour. Breakfast on the terrace was one of the best I had in Morocco, and everything is homemade. I'd happily stay again, and longer this time around!
We had such an amazing stay at the Riad Anata, greeted by wonderful staff that went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Each room is unique in its own way, with the perfect balance of style and comfort. They offer a delicious breakfast on the terrace which is perfectly decorated to make you feel like your in your own little oasis.
Would recommend this boutique hotel for anyone looking for a friendly perfectly located place to relax and enjoy the bustling city of Fez.
We were stunned by the beauty of the Riad, the hospitality of the staff, and the genuine care we received. The rooms were large and very clean, as well as beautifully decorated. The breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious! On the days we left early in the morning, the staff had provided us breakfasts to go - it was the most genuine service I have ever received, by far. Said and Sarah oriented us with much patience, and got anything we needed. It made our hectic stay in Fez a true gem. We fell in love with the place largely thanks to Riad Anata. Valerie, Sarah, and Said were the most charming individuals and our trip would have not been the same if we stayed elsewhere! I cannot recommend it enough!
Warm welcome, clean and spacious room for two, well decorated space, beautiful roof top terrace dining and relaxing area, and gracious and accommodating staff. Cooking class with Amina was amazing! Truly the best meal (authentic and home cooked) we've have had in Morocco--hands down! We made beef tagine and three types of salad (zaalouk with eggplant, zaalouk with cauliflower, and tomato and cucumber salads). She took us to market to buy fresh ingredients and herbs. Then we came back to the riad and started preparing everything from scratch. Amina is a third generation chef in her family. She learned to cook from her grandmother and mother. Thank you Amina for making our trip so memorable in Fes!
