If you are a woman who wants to connect with her greater well-being through the balance of mind, body, spirit, and community or if you want to wake up in the morning knowing you are living a life that has meaning for you and if you want to be able to access and share your unique gifts and qualities, then take part in this program that Retreats for the Soul designed especially for you.

The retreats and workshops program brings together professional and experienced facilitators from around Aotearoa, New Zealand who combine their gifts and knowledge together to offer you tools and techniques to nourish and enhance your ability to create ongoing balanced well-being for yourself. The program includes a hefty schedule of rejuvenating yoga, guided mindfulness movements, and training of the mind and heart.


Are you wanting to feel flexible and joyful in that amazing body of yours? Each morning on retreat, you will have an opportunity to participate in a session of gentle yoga stretches. No previous experience is necessary for this class and all ages and physical capabilities are welcome. In these yoga classes, you will be:

  • Shown a sequence of gentle yoga poses which are catered to your personal needs and abilities if you are just beginning
  • Given the opportunity to strengthen your own personal yoga routine if you have one already on the go
  • Given the opportunity to ask questions and gain individual support
  • Given step-by-step poses which focus specifically upon establishing a short and doable morning yoga practice
  • Given take-home visual information to easily help you remember poses
  • Given time to breathe, enjoy your body, and revel in your capabilities and physical well-being

Mindfulness movement

Mindfulness movement is a form of being present and aware of the body while in movement to sound and music. This form of mindfulness is enjoyed and harnessed by people who enjoy moving rather that sitting still as a pathway for stilling the mind and increasing awareness of the present moment experience. As with all the sessions on the retreat, this session is optional. All physical capabilities are welcome and previous experience is not necessary for this process. If you can breathe, you can move.

Daily schedule

Day 1 - Thursday, October 13, 2016

You will be served a delicious dinner at 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Afterward, you will be having an evening yoga session until 9:00 p.m.

Day 2 - Friday, October 14, 2016

Your morning sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. with periodical breaks in between. Lunch will be at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. To end the day, you will be having another session until 6:00 p.m.

Day 3 - Saturday, October 15, 2016

The schedule will be a morning session at 9:30 a.m., lunch at 12:30 p.m., and have afternoon session at 1:30 p.m. You will have the rest of the evening off to enjoy New Zealand or have some down time to yourself.

Day 4 - Sunday, October 16, 2016

Sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a break and a morning tea to enjoy at approximately 11:30 a.m.


Tanette Hickey
Tanette Hickey is a professional counselor based in Wellington, New Zealand who offers one-to-one counseling, life coaching, facilitation, well-being, meditation, and massage therapy.
Lee Ball
Lee brings a wealth of life experience and knowledge to her role as facilitator and as a mother of six children. She has combined this role with work and study over the past years.
Kerryn Easterbrook
Kerryn brings to the retreat her great love of sharing yoga and creating great tasting food. Yoga has been a part of Kerryn's life for the past years and she currently teaches classes in Golden Bay, offering her students a gentle introduction to yoga poses and establishing an ongoing practice.

Bookings are essential and massages will be offered within the personal time part of the retreat program.

Please book your flight to arrive at Queensland International Airport (ZQN). Once you're in Wanaka, Retreats for the Soul will arrange a pick up service for you from a cafe in Wanaka.
