On Tuesday, the organizer will organise an optional beach trip to Viareggio, which is about 40 minutes away. It is one of the best beaches in Tuscany so it will be busy and fun. Instructors

Lisa Sanfilippo

Lisa blends two decades of yoga practice and 14 years teaching with studies of Tantric philosophy and ongoing training in transpersonal psychotherapy. Her explorations of yoga as a tool for total body-mind-soul healing and transformation draw from neuroscience, Jungian psychology, Ayurveda, Anusara yoga and more.

Lisa designs your retreat practices to help you to gain greater clarity and strength, restoring your energy reserves and resilience. Youll do yoga with intelligent postural alignment that heals the body and insight that helps to unhook old stress patterns, helping you to move onward and upward in life.

She draws upon an extensive range of practices to hand-craft the programme for your retreat: dynamic yoga poses, flow sequences, restorative yoga, meditation, pranayama, mantra and reflection create a holistic approach to your wellbeing.

Lisas students enjoy her engaging, poetic, playful and welcoming nature. The student reported that they come away from their retreat with new insight: they say they feel stronger, better aligned, more aware of how to avoid and heal from injuries. Many find that they have gained new perspective and a mental and emotional shift.

Lisa is the UKs leading expert in Yoga for Insomnia, featured in publications from Marie Claire to the Daily Express. Lisa pioneered the UKs first yoga therapy for Insomnia training with the groundbreaking yoga therapy training body the Minded Institute.

Emma Fountain

After graduating with a Sports and Leisure degree from university, Emma has spent the last 10 years working in the food and wellness industry, including founding the first raw food restaurant in Cambodia.

She is a certified raw food chef and her approach to food is to let ingredients speak for themselves, incorporating clean, simple flavor pairings and using food in its whole form and not including processed foods or sugar.

She now consults on menu planning for vegan and raw restaurants and retreat centers around the world and is a raw food health coach to individual clients.

Chill at the villa

Our villa and private grounds are the perfect place to power down and relax during your yoga and cooking holiday. Sunbathe by the pool or curl up with a book under a tree. There are several walks around the surrounding hills and forests and you can wander around the village of Ponte a Moriano where you will find local cafes and shops.

Daytrip to Lucca town

The historical town of Lucca is fifteen minutes away by train, making it an easy day trip from the villa. The nearest station is Ponte a Mariano which is ten minutes walk from the villa.

Lucca has an unspoilt medieval centre which is totally enclosed by walls. It has barred all general traffic from driving within the city walls and the locals tend to cycle everywhere. There are many places to hire bicycles, both by the city walls and within the centre.

Once inside the city there are many historical buildings, some dating back to the 8th century. All around these buildings there is a maze of little winding streets which disappear into alleys, lead down to vaults or suddenly open up into a sunny square filled with bars and cafes.

Lucca is a fascinating and beautiful city, full of stunning sights but small enough to get around easily. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and shop in the maze of narrow streets.

Beach trip

On Tuesday, the organizer will organise an optional beach trip to Viareggio, which is about 40 minutes away. It is one of the best beaches in Tuscany so it will be busy and fun. You can book onto one of the private beach clubs for around 25 EUR per person which includes a sunbed and a shade and swimming pool.

"From the start until the end, the yoga retreat was very well organized. Great communication from Jools and Amber, no question too mundane to answer. Arriving at the retreat, the house and location in southwest France were lovely, and I was made to feel very welcome. The food was fabulous, without exception due to the brilliant chef, Emma Fountain and her great assistant Terri (the best herb tea maker in the West). Yoga taught by Faye Riches was inspirational and fun, I learnt so much. The other guests were varied and diverse and I loved every day of the seven-day retreat and feel healthier than I have done in years. I can't wait to book again! Thanks to Jools and her amazing team."

"The Reclaim Your Self team were well organized, caring and friendly during my weekend retreat in Bedford. It was my first time travelling on my own and had booked the retreat as a reward for qualifying as a yoga teacher. Special thanks to Jools and her team for welcoming me and made me feel instantly at ease, and with the other guests, felt we were a family who bonded other the weekend through yoga, meditation, and chanting. The accommodation and food was exceptional (impressed with staff caring about my special dietary requirements). It was an amazing experience and helped me both physically and mentally so felt more grounded, relaxed, and keen to do another in the future. I would recommend anyone to try it!"
