A hallmark of Pritikin is its strong medical presence. Upon arrival, six board-certified physicians will provide each guest with the expert medical attention required for achieving major life changes smoothly and successfully. Afterwards, the Pritikin exercise program will teach you a comprehensive approach involving cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, and stretching. Each element is designed to be safe, fun, and easy to follow when you return home. The gym will accommodate all levels of fitness, from Olympic athletes to people who have not exercised in years and want highly individualized attention.

The registered dietitians and chefs will teach classes on healthy, delicious eating in the real world. Physicians will demonstrate why healthy living is so important, and small-group workshops led by professional psychologists will help guests break through personal obstacles that hold them back from health and weight-loss success. Besides the standard activities, you will also have access to hands-on cooking classes that include preparation of soups, stocks, salads, dressings, fish/seafood and chicken, as well as a workshop and four-course dinner led and prepared by Pritikin's executive chef.

The nearest airports are Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL). Transfer from and to the airport is available upon request, provided you inform Pritikin at least 72 hours before your arrival. The fee from Miami International is 75 USD and from Fort Lauderdale is 105 USD.
