Dive with Podere Maraviglia in the heart of Tuscany for a truly grounding olive harvest ritual and yoga retreat. Taste the tingle of just pressed olive oil and practice yoga with Ania, founder of Daya Yoga Studio. Ground your root chakra among Podere Maraviglia century old Oak trees and indulge in seasonal home cooked vegetarian meals made with produce from their own organic fruit and vegetable garden.
The maximum participants in the group is 15.
During the retreat, you will be staying at Podere Maraviglia. Podere Maraviglia is a splendid ancient house with annex and private pool located near the charming village of Monte San Savino. The house has a magnificent view over the surrounding countryside.
During the renovation of the approximately 400-year-old building, particular care was taken to maintain the original building structure, thus the house still enchants its guests with its former charm. The warm and natural colors of the cottage-style furnishings with some original furniture pieces contribute to a comfortable rustic living atmosphere. Rooms are in shared double occupancy, private rooms are available upon request.
November is the month where “green gold” comes to life, rural communities gather in the fields to hand pick the olives with ladders and nets. This is where the anecdotes are shared, where old and young reunite and stories are passed on to keep Tuscany’s millenary harvesting tradition thriving through the years.
Join Podere Maraviglia to experience this process firsthand, meet the locals, learn from them, and feel how the rhythm of nature intersects with Italian lifestyle and daily life. Through each step of the olive harvest, you will learn all about the secrets of making the finest Extra Virgin Olive Oil, you will see how connected man and nature need to be in order to get the best product.
In-between nature walks chestnut roasting by the fire and chatting at tree height with the old town’s people you will experience how this deeply grounding and empowering connection to nature reflects on your mind and body.
In this retreat, you will have daily Hatha yoga and meditation with Ania. Not only that, you will also have movement, body impulse, and spinal awareness workshop with Sam.
This workshop will be dedicated to the spinal cord with an aim to reinvigorate the body-mind dialogue of the participant. The work is based on psycho-physical exercises which bring a greater proprioceptive awareness and establishes a stronger bio-dynamic communication between the systems of the body.

This masterclass is perfect for dancers, athletes, yoga practitioners, and anybody who is interested in the development of their body. The final scope is to stimulate the neurological activity of one of the principal centers of the nervous system: the spine.
Apart from yoga, you will also experience olive picking with nets and ladders, pressing it at the on-site pressing plant and fresh extra virgin olive oil tasting with bruschetta, white beans with sage, and rosemary with organic local wine!
A hiking trip to the hills of Tuscany while listening to the stories and anecdotes of the land is included in the price.
Ania is the founder of Daya Yoga Studio in Bushwick, New York. Yoga has been part of Ania's life since she came to New York City in 2000. She became a yoga instructor in 2008 under JhonT at the Atmananda Yoga school in New York. She teaches yoga in English and Polish and is certified in Reiki Level 1, Ayurveda yoga, and elements of Chinese Medicine. Capoeira is part of her lifestyle while salsa and swing heal her soul. Lately, Ania finds her inspiration in Ashtanga yoga, nature, and medicine of the land.
Sam will be teaching the spinal awareness workshop. Originally from Boston grew up in Tuscany where from a young age he already engaged in music, circus arts, street performing, and physical theatre. Sam was awarded his bachelors degree in music and philosophy from Sarah Lawrence College in New York in conjunction with BHU in Varanasi India, he also attended the MFA program at the ADA. Sam’s interdisciplinary approach has brought him to collaborate with a variety of projects and people, including painters, poets, musicians, dancers, actors, folk research, and pedagogy.

All meals are included in the price. Seasonal homecooked vegetarian meals made using the produce from Podere Maraviglia own organic fruit and vegetable garden will be served to you.
On your free time, you can enjoy massage sessions, afternoon at the thermal baths, horse riding, cycling, and go hiking. You can also visit Monte San Savino numerous shops and its available services such as supermarkets, ice-cream shops, bakeries, butcher shops, bicycle rental, post office, banks, restaurants, bars, antiquarian, ceramic shops, and much more.

From any of these airports, you can take a shuttle bus or train to Arezzo, which is the main city closest to the little town of Monte San Savino.
