"My friends and I booked the Pelican Cruise for a 2D/1N cruise which was enough to see most of Ha Long Bay. The itinerary for 3D/2N for Pelican was just one extra day of own leisure. The cruise company picked us up from the hotel (@ Hanoi) and be prepared for an 4-hour drive to Ha Long (Wharf) with one stop along the way. Here you'll find all sorts of souvenirs ( bargain hard else cheaper locally). Boarded the boat was served with a refreshing mocktail and introduction of all staff and policy on the boat followed by a Lunch buffet which amazing and very tasty. "

"We booked the Suite Ocean View located on 2nd floor. Rooms were just like a 5-star hotel. Next transferred to a small boat for kayaking or travel on a bamboo boat rowed by locals to visit a small cave inlet and mountains. We then headed to Ti Top island where you can swim at the beach or trek up the stairs to the top for an amazing view. ( It's a long hike up take rest if needed). Came back for happy hour on the cruise and cooking class to make spring rolls. Dinner was a 7 course set menu ( choice of two menus). After dinner, there were options of movie or squid fishing. We headed back to our rooms as it was raining. "

"Next morning, we skip tai chi class at 6 a.m due to rain. Buffet breakfast at 7 a.m before heading to surprise cave. This cave is amazing. The colours are vibrant and lots of stories about it. Came back to check out and had brunch at 10am before ending our cruise at 11am back to the wharf. "

"The staff on the boat was very friendly, helpful and informative. Plus I'm a person who dislike going on boat due to its rockiness/movement. This boat really surprised me it is so stable as though you are on land. Even though we had 20 min of rough wind and rain at the bay it was still very stable.. "

"We had the pleasure of taking a 3 days, 2 nights cruise on the Pelican Ship. The staff was amazing and very kind. The manager, Joseph Pace (Giuseppe) made us feel welcome and was extremely engaging. We had three massages and they too were very good. We really enjoyed the morning Tai Chi with Lãng Tử Nghèo. All in all, these folks do a great job. The ship is clean and the food was superb. If you're planning a trip to Halong Bay, check them out. "

"I did this 3 days 2 nights cruise in December 2015 and had the most amazing time ever. Pelican cruises are highly recommended because they cater to smaller groups (the cruise can maybe accommodate about 35 persons which is just about right - you dont want to go with 100s of people). Also, the toilets and bathrooms are inside the rooms which is probably not the case with all cruises. These 2 things made us choose pelican cruises and we were not at all disappointed. The program was perfect as it gave us ample time to enjoy the cruise as well as go deeper into the Halong bay. The program is planned such that half a day you go swimming at the beach or visit a cave or visit floating villages and the other half of the day you enjoy the cruise. When we went, the beach water was 4 degrees Celsius and not fit for swimming. They took us to private property further into the sea for cycling (which was extremely beautiful and fun) - apparently the Chinese border was 14kms away from where we were cycling.Another thing - we were all vegetarians and one of us was a Jain (does not eat onions, potatoes, carrots and garlic). The chef were so kind to cook us variety of vegetarian dishes and treat us so well. We have never encountered such great service (outside India) when it comes to vegetarian food. The service overall was extraordinary. One of my best trips, thank you Pelican Cruises."

"I had a really good time. Views were spectacular. I recommend 2 nights as we got to see so much more than the 1 night people. The food was tasty. The crews were so friendly. The only complaint is at some points we didn't know what we were meant to do as they unloaded the one night people and we stayed on board. But, apart from that the cruise is highly recommended. The boat looked a lot better than all the other boats cruising around. We had 12 cocktails and a few water and soft drinks and the bill was about USD 62 aid so that was awesome. So, overall I recommend this trip."

"I have to give them a 4 for effort and the fact that the cabin you get and boat are pretty good and well maintained. Generally the crew I can't fault and the food was ok; not amazing but definitely good for a cruise. However, this is not quite the relaxing cruise you expect. For one thing, the timetable is relentless. I don't think we actually did a whole of cruising. I was there for 3 days. The loudspeakers kept announcing where I should be and what I should be doing. I got an early morning knock. (I'll wake up myself thanks). However, overall I enjoyed it and the trips they arranged were good.My one serious gripe was with the spa which I really would not recommend. For what you pay, and I know its a boat and you pay premium, they really should do better by having someone who actually knows what they are doing. They sent a barman to do a facial for my wife. His hands stunk of cigarettes. He coughed all over the place and he didn't wash them without being told. Plus he messed it up."

"Halong Bay is full similar cruise ships. Having spent a lot of time researching we were very pleased to have booked with Pelican. The boat is in excellent condition, the rooms are spacious; each with sea views. The staffs are friendly and accommodating to any request. The program is well organized with meal times offering plenty of choice. All in all it was a wonderful two days."

"The room and view are amazing. The service from the crew was great. The food was nice. It is quite pricey but you pay for what you get. We went for a 2-day-1-night tour but I think 3 days 2 nights would be better. Bring your own wine and some bottles of mineral water. You have to pay for them at a much higher price onboard. I noticed the wine was about 10 times higher than the price elsewhere. Only two bottle of complimentary water was given. Buy some biscuits or tidbits in Hanoi city to eat along the way to Halong harbor. These were sold at a price many times higher at stopovers during the 4-hour bus ride from Hanoi to Halong harbor."

"My family booked an overnight cruise with them to Halong Bay. The staff are extremely friendly and well trained. Having two vegetarians in our group was not an easy task. But the ship's Chef did a wonderful job. It was not a quick broth cube thrown together with vegetables. He made sure that they also had a three course spread along with the rest of us."

"The cruise is leaded by a great crew. The captain is really good at joking and kind of funny. The food was delicious and indeed a meal that you should not miss when travelling on the cruise. There are lots of activities, such as kayaking, swimming, or fishing on the cruise. I loved the cruise!"

"Excellent cruise experience. I was on my honeymoon. They made the trip a unique memory. The food was amazing; they have a lot of variety. An excellent opportunity to taste Vietnamese food. The room was very comfortable. As it was a special occasion, they allowed us to eat on the deck."
