During this holiday, you will be staying in a private or double room in two beautiful hotels in the Piedmont region. You will spend two nights in Turin, in the Hotel Diplomatic, and five nights in Alba, in the Hotel Savona.

Hotel Diplomatic, Turin

Hotel Diplomatic is a beautiful hotel in the center of Turin, easy to reach, elegant, and well cared for in details; from here, in a few minutes walk, you can stroll through the shops on Via Garibaldi, climb the Mole Antonelliana to know the mysteries della Esoteric Turin, or discover the historic city.

The hotel is ideal if you want to quickly reach by foot or by public transport, the major attractions of Turin. In fact, the Hotel Diplomatic is a 15-minute walk from the Polytechnic University of Turin, 10 minutes by tram from the Egyptian Museum, a five-minute walk from the Porta Susa station, and a six-minute walk from the bus to Turin Airport (TRN), Il Caravaggio International Airport (BGY), and Milan-Malpensa Airport (MXP).

Hotel Savona, Alba

Hotel Savona is located right in the historical center and earth of Alba, main city of the Langhe. Very close to the shopping area and to the most famous attractions and restaurants, the hotel is the ideal place to visit the territory of Langhe and Roero.

All around, you will find the famous hills, well known to enogastronomy because of the white truffle, the red wines Barolo and Barbaresco, Barbera, Dolcetto, and Nebbiolo, the famous robiola and other cheese like Bra, Castelmagno, and Murazzano.

Day 1: Sunday - Welcome Dinner

Today, you will meet in the lobby of Diplomatic Hotel, in the center of Turin, at 19:00. There, you will meet other participants and review the program for the week. A welcome dinner will be served in a typical restaurant.

Day 2: Monday - Markets and historic Turin

At 08:30, visit the famous open air market of Porta Palazzo, with its many vegetable and fruit stalls and the very large fish market, the second largest in Italy, and spend some time along the stalls.

You will have a light lunch and a walking tour of the center of Turin to visit Piazza Castello, where the first capital of northern Italy was founded by the Savoia Royal Family and subsequently, after the unification of Italy, was the first capital of unified Italy. There, you will visit the palaces and piazzas, as well as the famous cafés.

You will taste the famous Bicerin, a delicious beverage made with hot chocolate, coffee, and whipped cream. Also, you will visit famous chocolate shops and taste some of their products. Afterwards, you will move to the famous Eataly, a beautiful store with all the most famous Italian delicacies. Today, you will be free to dine in Eataly.

Day 3: Tuesday - Transfer to rice country and Barolo

At 08:30, transfer to Barolo and stop on the way to visit L'Antico Mulino - Riseria San Giovanni in Fontanetto Po, in a working antique rice mill, where you will see the different types of rice, the production, and more.

You will then go to restaurant Bucunà, where you will have a rice cooking class followed by lunch. After lunch, transfer to the Savona Hotel in Alba, in the Barolo area. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant with local specialties.

Day 4: Wednesday - Visit La Morra and wine tasting

At 09:00, visit the town of La Morra, in the Barolo countryside, and visit the Historic Marchesi di Barolo winery, where you will explore the cellars and enjoy a wine tasting and light lunch. At 16:00, you will have your first cooking class. It will include traditional Piemontese and Langhe dishes followed by dinner.

Day 5: Thursday - Chocolate tasting

At 08:30, you will leave for a trip to Giraudi Chocolates for a visit to the chocolate maker's laboratory and a chocolate seminar with a tasting and light lunch. At 16:00, you will join a cooking class with a local chef followed by dinner.

Day 6: Friday - Visit to a dairy and cheese tasting

Today, you will go on an excursion to visit a local cheese producer and taste some cheese. You will also visit a castle and a Barbaresco winery, where you will taste their produce and enjoy a light lunch. At 16:00, there will be another cooking class followed by dinner.

Day 7: Saturday - Truffle hunt and tasting

At 09:00 you will be driven into the woods near Alba to experience a truffle hunt with a trifulau, a truffle hunter, and his dog. You will hike through the woods while the truffle hunter explains the various types of truffles, the time of the year in which they grow, and how to train truffle dogs. Afterwards, you will visit the truffle shop to taste truffle products. Finally, a farewell dinner will be served in a restaurant in Alba.

Day 8: Sunday - Departure

This morning, enjoy one final delicious breakfast before your departure.
