Program

Day 1: ATHENS

Detailed information will be presented to you about all art and music events that will take place in Athens during your stay, as well as a list of non touristic restaurants in order to live a local experience in this city. In the evening, optionally we will take you to a selected restaurant for your first Greek seafood tasting

Day 2 : ATHENS WALKING TOUR

The best way to see Athens is a walking tour. You can feel the vibes, explore every sense and meet the locals! We’ll start the day by walking to the Acropolis hill where you’ll enjoy a guided tour to Parthenon, the Erectheion & the surrounding monuments. We’ll then descend to Acropolis museum, in order to have a tour to its fascinating exhibitions. Our exploration will continue on by crossing Andrianou Street, the most distinctive street of Plaka neighborhood, the imposing Roman Agora the vivid life of Monastiraki Square and the surrounding streets of Athens Central Market with Little shops selling herbs, delicacies, nuts, household items & many more. We keep walking to Syntagma Square and take some time to watch the valiant Evzones in front of the building of the Greek Parliament. Next to the lush green oasis of the National Gardens and the extraordinary Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place. We continue for a little while, we’ll reach the Zappeion Hall -an impressive neoclassical building- and afterwards we’ll feel amazed by the size of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Hadrian Arch. Our walk will come to an end in front of the Lycicrates monument in Plaka. Rest for the evening and our representative will advise for a night out in Athens.

Day 3 ATHENS - SANTORINI

The next day brings you to Santorini. Our representatives will transfer you to port for your cruise to Santorini. Relax 3 days at this scenic volcanic island with its breathtaking views and white washed houses draped along the high cliffs of Santorini's breathtaking"Caldera". Walk through the villages of Oia and Fira and Imerovigli and board a traditional Greek boat to visit the red and black beaches and more. See the numerous villages outside the Caldera such as Perissa, Perivolos and Pirgos. Visit volcanic wineries sampling a variety of whites and reds along with local cheeses and Santorini’s famous tomato paste and “Fava”.

Day 4 SANTORINI FOOD TOUR

This is a tour around the island where you will get to explore the unique flavors of Santorini! A magical wine-gastronomic destination offering delicious gastronomic experiences using local products! Visit 2 renowned, awarded wineries, taste the major types of Santorini wines and learn about the wine history of the island, the native grapes and the traditional and modern winemaking methods! Walk in an old, phylloxera-free vineyard and learn about the ancient vine training method and the Santorini’s distinctive terroir! Visit a local farm, taste the major agricultural products of the island and become familiar with the food treasures of Santorini! Visit the Santorini Donkey brewery and taste fresh, unfiltered and unpasteurized beers!

Day 5 SANTORINI COOKING LESSON AND DINNER

This tour is the perfect combination for wine tasting, visiting a folklore museum & enjoying a cooking demonstration of one dish of the proposed 3 course menu that you'll get to taste afterwards!

Day 6 SANTORINI - NAXOS

Board a Hydrofoil to the next destination, one of Greece’s largest island in Cyclades, Naxos !. A Culinary paradise with amazing landscapes and long stretched beaches. Day to enjoy the beach !

Day 7 NAXOS

Today you will experience Naxos like a local! Visit locations off the beaten track and dive into the island's vast history, local tradition, and food culture! Explore Naxos while combining its awe-inspiring ancient heritage with its modern-day local tradition and culture.

Admire the magnificent ancient temple of Demeter. Visit a local pottery workshop and learn the secrets of this ancient form of art. Discover fresh flavor of Kitron liqueur and get to know how it is made in a traditional distillery. Finish your day with local olive oil tasting at the Olive Press Museum in Eggares.

DAY 8 NAXOS

Day to relax and enjoy perfect beaches of Naxos Island

Day 9 NAXOS - ATHENS

Our representatives will transfer you to airport for flight back home

Food

During this retreat, you will enjoy daily breakfast at the hotels, one seafood dinner and one street food tasting in Athens, and one dinner at a traditional cheese making farm. This last meal will make use of locally grown vegetables, herbs, plants, and organic seeds. During this dinner, you will have the opportunity to enjoy two salad dishes, two appetizers, two main courses, and white or red wine to accompany the dishes. Finally, you will choose from a selection of seasonal fruits for dessert.
