Day 1: Athens

After your arrival, you will meet one of the tour's assistants who will transfer you to your hotel. Detailed information will be presented to you about all art and music events that will take place in Athens during your stay, as well as a list of non-touristic restaurants in order to live a local experience in this city.

In the evening, a tour representative will pick you up at the hotel and will take you to a selected restaurant for a first Greek seafood tasting which is not included in the price. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel and spend the night there.

Day 2: Athens

Breakfast will take place at your hotel and will energize you for a walking tour through Athens. This is the best way to see this city, feel its vibes, and meet the locals. You will start the day by climbing the Acropolis hill, where you will enjoy a guided tour to the Parthenon, the Erectheion, and the surrounding monuments for approximately one hour and 30 minutes. Afterwards, you will descend to the Acropolis Museum and receive a tour of its fascinating exhibitions. This tour will also take one hour and 30 minutes.

Your exploration will go on by crossing Andrianou Street, the most distinctive street of Plaka neighborhood, a place full of sophisticated shops and souvenirs. Later, you will reach the imposing Roman Agora and the Tower of The Winds, and a little further down, you will have the chance to admire the Library of Hadrian and the Monastiraki Square, a vivid place full of people and colors.

Then, you will stop for an optional refreshing lunch break with traditional Greek street food at a nearby restaurant, followed by a walk through Athinas and Evripidou Streets, the surrounding streets of Athens Central Market. Little shops will be all around you offering herbs, delicacies, nuts, and household items, among others.

After having crossed this fascinating commercial triangle, you will arrive at Panepistimiou Street, where you will be impressed by a trilogy of neoclassical buildings, such as the National Library, the Academy, and the University of Athens. If you walk further down, you will reach Syntagma Square, the most famous square of the city. There, you will take some time to watch the valiant Evzones in front of the building of the Greek Parliament.

Having left Syntagma Square behind you, you will stroll through the lush green oasis of the National Gardens. While this will be an ideal place to relax away from the city noise, your refreshing walk will lead you to the extraordinary Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place.

If you continue for a little while, you will reach the impressive neoclassical building of Zappeion Hall before being amazed by the size of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Hadrian Arch. Your walk will come to an end in front of the Lycicrates monument in Plaka, at a very close distance from the Acropolis Metro Station.

By this time, you will have seen the best of Athens in a walk that includes everything, such as history, architecture, and ancient and modern city life. The evening will be for resting, before a representative meets you at the hotel for a night out in Athens. This night, you will meet some of the most prestigious bars and clubs of the city, such as the molecular mixology bar concept, a wine bar with the list of the best Greek wines. Finally, you will go back to the hotel for an overnight rest.

Day 3: Athens food tour and cooking lesson

Get ready to bite into a sweet, cream-filled, crunchy filo layered pie called bougatsa, fork into perfectly fried doughnut balls drenched in honey called loukoumades, and savor a satisfying meld of flavors from warm pita bread filled with seasoned grilled meat, fresh veggies and a traditional sauce called gyros. In between, you will taste Feta cheese, Greek olives, and sip Greek spirits. This neighborhood walk revolves around sampling Greece’s traditional food. Continue to Adrianou Street, Athens' biggest shopping area center, and will start your cooking lesson. During this course, you will learn how to cook traditional Greek dishes with an experienced cook. You will get to know the wonderful world of Mediterranean cuisine by using herbs, fresh vegetables, and meat while learning the basics on how to prepare a full Greek dinner with easy-to-follow recipes you can use to impress your guests when you get back home.

After your cooking lesson, you will get to enjoy what you prepared during your cooking course, accompanied by a glass of wine. The rest of the day will be at your leisure and the tour guide will help you figure out what to do by proposing various art events for the evening.

Day 4: Athens - Sifnos

You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Pireaus port to take your boat to Sifnos. After a pleasant cruise on the Aegean sea, you will reach your destination. Then you will be transferred from the port to your hotel, check in, and spend the day at your leisure.

Day 5: Sifnos

You will spend this day at your leisure and depending on your interests a hiking tour, a guided tour, or a cruise around the island can be arranged. The travel consultants will provide detailed information for every activity.
