Arethusa Hotel or similar, three stars

The hotel Arethusa is a three-star hotel, ideally located just next to Syntagma (Constitution) square and Plaka (old town of Athens) in Mitropoleos street, street of the Cathedral of Athens. The position of the hotel allows our customers easy access to the most important attractions of our city like Acropolis, Archeological museum, Cathedral, Town Hall, Temple of Zeus, Plaka and many more. It offers breakfast and air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Simply yet tastefully decorated, all units come with a TV and fridge. Each includes a private bathroom with a hairdryer and bath or shower. An American breakfast buffet is served in the dining area of the Hotel Arethusa or in the guests' rooms. Drinks and snacks are provided at the bar until late in the evening. The roof garden has seating areas where guests can admire panoramic views of the Acropolis and the city of Athens.

Program

Day 1:

Athens After your arrival, you will meet one of the tour's assistants who will transfer you to your hotel. Detailed information will be presented to you about all art and music events that will take place in Athens during your stay, as well as a list of non-touristic restaurants in order to live a local experience in this city. In the evening, a tour representative will pick you up at the hotel and will take you to a selected restaurant for the first Greek seafood tasting (own expenses). Afterward, you will return to your hotel and spend the night there.

Day 2:

Athens Breakfast will take place in your hotel and will energize you for a walking tour in Athens; the best way to see this city, feel its vibes and meet locals. You will start the day by climbing the Acropolis hill, where you will enjoy a guided tour to the Parthenon, the Erectheion, and the surrounding monuments for approximately one hour and 30 minutes. Afterward, you will descend to the Acropolis Museum and receive a tour of its fascinating exhibitions.

This tour will also take one hour and 30 minutes. Your exploration will go on by crossing Andrianou Street, the most distinctive street of Plaka neighborhood, a place full of sophisticated shops and souvenirs. Later, you will reach the imposing Roman Agora and the Tower of the Winds, and a little further down, you will have the chance to admire the Library of Hadrian and the vivid life of Monastiraki Square, a place full of people and colors.

The evening will be for resting. You can arrange a night out, and a representative meets you at the hotel for a night out in Athens (own expenses). This night, you will meet some of the most prestigious bars and clubs of the city, such as the molecular mixology bar concept or a wine bar with the list of the best Greek wines. Finally, you will go back to the hotel for an overnight rest.

Day 3:

Cooking Lesson You will start this tour in Adrianou Street, Athens' biggest shopping area center and will continue with your cooking lesson. During this course, you will learn how to cook traditional Greek dishes with an experienced cook. You will get to know the wonderful world of Mediterranean cuisine by using herbs, fresh vegetables, and meat while learning the basics on how to prepare a full Greek dinner with easy-to-follow recipes you can use to impress your guests when you get back home.

After your cooking lesson, you will get to enjoy what you prepared during your cooking course, accompanied by a glass of wine. The rest of the day will be at leisure and the tour guide will help you figure out what to do by proposing various art events for the evening.

Day 4:

Airport transfer. During this day, you will meet the tour's assistant and then be transferred back to the airport.
