I have done several guided walks with Outdoor Travel over the years and fondly remember treading a high section of the Camino de Santiago and walking through Andalucian cork forests. Following the Hollyford Valley, in New Zealand, through exquisite beech forests, from soaring mountains to a coastal penguin colony, was spectacular and fun (lots of mud!). For vivid color, you can't top the Abel Tasman Coast Track. This is one of New Zealand's Great Walks and the great four-night trip I did allowed lots of opportunities to savor the blue-and-green scenery and birdlife between sampling island food, where local green lip mussels were the highlight, and wine!

We recently booked our honeymoon to Japan through Outdoor Travel. The staff went above and beyond to take care of every little detail of our trip, from flights and accommodation to airport transfers and daily excursions, everything was planned perfectly, making it the trip of a lifetime. It is their expertise and real life experience in the industry that makes them a step above the rest. We are excited to be using Outdoor Travel again to plan our next trip through Europe. Definitely five stars!

I have traveled with Outdoor Travel on a couple of occasions. The self-drive Canal du Midi was wonderful but the wine on the hotel barge Renaissance, where it was selected by our sommelier (not me) was much better. In fact, it is hard to criticize any element of this pampered trip from Montargis to Chatillon-sur-Loire that ranged between superb to sublime. There was enough opportunity for exercise to make the wonderful meals seem almost well deserved. I will be back.

Outdoor Travel has looked after us on a number of trips. I was particularly impressed with the level of communication and preparation before my trip. Most of all, we were able to rely on their support when we found ourselves in a sticky situation. Thanks Outdoor Travel for making our holiday smooth and memorable!

I attended in The Lot and Quercy region; it certainly exceeded my expectation. We enjoyed Diana and James' company very much and their organization was very professional. They both had a lot of knowledge regarding the region, food, and wine and also made us very welcome at their home. We also met their children and they were great as well. I really cannot think of one complaint, I know that Andrea also enjoyed herself and has contacted you.

The accommodation was very good and we also met some very nice people including locals, who we would probably not have met if we were traveling by ourselves. I have already cooked a few of the dishes for my husband and bought back some French wines; unfortunately, my tin of foie gras was confiscated by customs in Sydney but I managed to bring in some tins of truffles and truffle oil and salt (after declaration).

I will be recommending this tour to my friends and if you need my recommendation for any others please let me know. Once again, compliments regarding this tour and I certainly hope to meet up with James and Diana again on another tour.

The French cooking week was great fun, Diana and James were wonderful hosts, and everything they organized for the week was interesting and enjoyable. There was enough walking to offset the over indulgence of the rich food and the accommodation was charming. I would recommend it to anyone interested in sampling a slice of French life.

Having done a walk with James in May through the Dordogne and Quercy I would thoroughly recommend the experience to anyone looking for a great holiday in a superb area of France. This is a five-star holiday with wonderful host. Australians wanting to enjoy France should consider this as their next holiday destination; you will struggle to find a better holiday. I'll certainly be going back sometime.
