In today's life, it is a pre-requisite that you deliver a good performance on a permanent basis. You have to function constantly, meeting deadlines, rushing for work, upbringing of kids, and more. This leaves you with hardly any free time to devote to your health, relaxation, proper rest, or sleep. This retreat will allow you to experience the joy of living by exploring yoga as a way of living and being healthy, even if you start with simple yoga practices.
During this retreat, you will be staying at La Terre des Bois, a peaceful residence surrounded by woodland and forest walks in the midst of Dordogne, South West of France. This rustically charming home away from home offers a a grounding, serene, and intimate environment that will allow you to reconnect with yourself; the perfect place to unwind, relax, and explore this beautiful area.
The property can accommodate 13 guests, it is divided into three chalets or cottages, two double rooms in the main house, and one twin independent house. All cottages have small kitchens.
Your accommodation is furnished and equipped to a high standard, with its own private terrace and a swimming pool, where you will find loungers and sun brollies, all set amidst lightly wooded grounds, with shady seating areas.
This program's holistic concept consists of yoga practices, stress management, and nutrition talks and sessions, customized to your own needs. During this retreat, you will get a better understanding on how yoga can contribute to your life, in addition to receiving tips and practices on stress management and on having a more positive attitude that you can easily integrate into your daily routine.
You will have the opportunity to attend an eye-opening nutrition session and learn how food can affect your mood and balance. Doctor Daniela will introduce you to the nutritional aspects of Ayurveda, such as the characteristics of the three gunas, the three doshas, and their function in Ayurveda. You will also have one cooking session that will give you the inspiration and skills to carry on exploring healthy eating options at home, with some healthy recipes for you to take home.
Tips and insights into how anyone can be full of energy and always feel great, despite the daily stresses in your life, will also be provided. You will learn about and experience healthy living but you will also have plenty of time to enjoy, relax, and visit the beautiful sites and landscapes, which go from chateaux and vineyards to cultural sites.
This retreat will take place in Pressignac Vicq, Dordogne, France.
You will be served three daily vegetarian meals, prepared with fresh ingredients from the nearby village's farmer's market.
You can book a re-balancing and stress relief massage in the garden or on your private veranda at an additional cost.
