Day 1 - West Kelowna wine and dine experience

Duration: 6 hours

Number of wineries visited: 3

From 15:30 to 20:00, sip, savour, and sigh at the end of your day by visiting three distinctive wineries: The Hatch Winery, Quails’ Gate Estate Winery, and Mission Hill Family Estate Winery. Enjoy a leisurely visit to each winery, sample a selection of their award-winning wines, browse through each of their unique gift shops, and relax and enjoy post-dinner transportation in their luxurious tour vehicles.

A vineyard dinner reservation is provided as part of this tour. Guests are invited to choose between the contemporary indoor comfort of Old Vines Restaurant at Quails’ Gate Estate Winery or al fresco at Mission Hill’s stylish Terrace Restaurant, which is recognized by Travel and Leisure Magazine, as one of the top five winery restaurants in the world. Both fine dining establishments offer breathtaking vineyard and lake views and wine-inspired cuisine. Okanagan Wine Country Tours will provide return transportation to the hotel, where you can enjoy the numerous resort style amenities at your leisure.

Day 2 - A day on the Naramata Bench

Duration: 7 hours

Number of wineries visited: 6

The scenic Naramata Bench is a place of great beauty and character, with many boutique style wineries strung along the narrow and bucolic bench lands, such as LaFrenz, Laughingstock, Ruby Blues, Poplar Grove Estate Wineries, and several more. The lake’s capacity to store warmth and reflect light onto the vines, makes this sandy loam bench one of the Okanagan’s best vineyard locations. Grapes grown here have a long frost-free autumn, in which to mature.

From 09:30 to 17:00, guests will enjoy a vineyard lunch stop at the Vanilla Pod Restaurant onsite at Poplar Grove, which is a truly remarkable setting. Naramata Bench wine country is a must visit destination for wine connoisseurs and those seeking vistas of unparalleled beauty. They look forward to welcoming you to the unique warmth of the Naramata Bench.

Day 3 - Departure

Today, your tour comes to an end.

  • Visit wineries and vineyards in West Kelowna and Naramata Bench

The Okanagan Valley wine-growing region is located about 400 kilometers east of Vancouver and covers one degree of latitude, extending some 200 kilometers along a south-north axis from the United States border from the 49th parallel to just north of the Kelowna International Airport (50 degrees north). It has a distinct climatic advantage because the Valley is warmer and sunnier than California’s Napa Valley in July and August.

The surrounding landscape is defined by the major mountain ranges flanking this narrow valley: Coast Mountains and Thompson Plateau in the west and Monashee Mountains and Okanagan Highlands in the east. Protected by the mountains, the valley records hot summers, low rainfall, and cooler winters that produce world renown Canadian Icewines.

The Okanagan Valley produces an abundance of produce, seasonal fruit, and ethically raised livestock, which entice master chefs from around the world. The culinary growth in the Valley is a testament to the passion of the people who enthusiastically embrace award-winning wines with fresh local cuisine. Many wineries offer inspired dishes with wine-pairing recommendations in exceptional settings tucked into vineyards, overlooking lakes, or serving up panoramic valley views.

You will have plenty of opportunities to dine at local restaurants and get to know the surroundings at your own pace.

"Bree was an amazing guide, who took my wife and I all around the wineries and customizing it for us, as we went based on our palate and taste. She is one of the main reasons I would consider doing this tour again. She is highly recommended!"

"It was an amazing tour of the wineries in British Columbia, which was my first trip to Canada. Cara was my guide and I was the only one on the tours on Wednesday and Thursday (April 13th and 14th), due to it being a slow time of year; though the weeks prior, Cara said, she was busy. She and I got along great. I would have never seen so many unique spots, if not for her. She was friendly and outgoing. I also met Patty, who was very accommodating, as well. Thanks for a pleasant experience!"

"I booked a tour for our national meeting, the Wine and Dine, for just 5 of us. Patty was very accommodating in getting us set up and our guide, Bree, was a delight in making sure our expectations were met. It was nice to see the big boys set up and on request. We got a taste of some up and comers as well. Do not be afraid to ask for a little customization or suggestions, for when you are happy, they are happy!"

"We had a fantastic day with Johnny as our guide. He was informative and passionate about wines. We totally enjoyed going to 5 wineries. It gave us a taste of Canadian wines, which we totally enjoyed. We had a lovely meal at Quails' Gate. This company went out of its way to accommodate us coming from Big White and were very helpful."

"We had such a great time on our wine tour! We were picked up at our Airbnb home by Cara, who is our friendly, funny, and knowledgeable tour guide, and were taken out for a fantastic day of learning and sipping delicious local wines. Cara did a great job of customizing our trip on the go, by asking what we liked and did not like at each winery, and bringing us to the next place based on our tastes. We learned something new at every winery and would not have changed a thing about the whole day."
