Iceland is a paradise for the lovers of nature; a land of hot springs, glaciers, lava fields, and waterfalls, with an unspoiled and truly surreal landscape that inspires countless artists and photographers. Travelers seeking an adventure will not be disappointed, with miles of scenic roadway circling the entire country and endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits. Despite the countrys name, Icelandic summers are surprisingly mild and green, with nonstop daylight around the midsummer thanks to the phenomenon known as the midnight sun. Whereas during winter, the longer nights create ideal conditions for the northern lights: a fascinating experience on many travelers bucket lists.
During your luxury food vacation, you will be delighted with a daily appetizing breakfast. The Blue Lagoon is probably Icelands most famous landmark and certainly a must-see for all visitors. This therapeutic pool of warm and mineral rich geothermal water is carved out of the Svartsengi lava field, its beautiful blue color coming from light refracting microorganisms that thrive in the unusual ecosystem. Thousands of people go every year to bathe in the therapeutic waters, which are particularly beneficial for skin complaints, and take unwinding massages while floating on a pad in the warm water. On this vacation you will have a relaxing half-hour massage on the warm waters of the Blue Lagoon.
Please book your flight to arrive at the Keflavk International Airport (KEF). Nordic Visitor will pick you up from the airport. The pick-up is included in the price.
