Program

Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok

In the morning, you will arrive in Bangkok and then transfer to a hotel. There, you can spend your leisure time. At 18:00, you will be picked up at the hotel for dinner and see the beautiful show of Siam Niramit, the biggest musical show of Thailand provided in a luxury theater and beautiful complex. You will stay an overnight in Bangkok.

Day 2: Bangkok / floating market and Royal Grand Palace

At 06:30, you will be picked up at the hotel for a visit to Damnoen Saduak floating market. After a leisurely morning drive through the bustling metropolis of Bangkok and the scenic countryside going towards the south for about few kilometers, you will come to Damnoen Saduak, the colorful floating market in Thailand where you can find all kinds of farm product sold in their colorful flat bottom boats.

In the afternoon, you will visit Royal Grand Palace. This is the perfect introduction to Thailand, the Buddhist faith, and regal splendor and traditional. Though no longer the royal residence, it remains the symbol of the kingdom. There, you'll visit the key attractions around the Grand Palace including Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), Coronation Throne Hall, Royal Reception Hall, Royal Funeral Hall, the Golden Chedi, and the Royal Pantheon. After that, you will return to the hotel for leisure time and spend an overnight in Bangkok. Dinner is on your own.

Day 3: Bangkok - Hanoi (a half day tour by plane)

At 09:00, you will have breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap. You will arrive at Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) in Hanoi (see air access) and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit Hoàn Kiếm Lake and Ngoc Son Temple as well as enjoy an hour cyclo to visit Hanoi Old Quarter. Subsequently, you will watch a water puppet show in the evening. You will drop off at your hotel and enjoy your free time to explore Hanoi by yourself. Dinner will be on your own and you will stay an overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Ha Long (joining tour, 160 kilometers, 3 hours 30 minutes)

  • 08:00-08:30 The Swan shutter bus will pick you up from your hotel and you will be heading to the northeast of Vietnam.
  • 12:30 You will arrive at Swan office and then transferred by tender to Swan Cruise.
  • 12:45 You will enjoy a welcome drink, have a briefing about safety on boat and activities included, and then check in at the cabin.
  • 13:30 You will enjoy delicious Vietnamese set menu while leisurely cruising to the core of Bai Tu Long Bay.
  • 15:00 You will arrive at Cap La Island, the beautiful area in Bai Tu Long Bay. You will also enjoy kayaking through the karst and breathtaking nature, swimming, and relaxing.
  • 17:30 You will get back to the boat and enjoy the sunset party while the cruise sailing to the overnight anchorage.
  • 19:00 You will enjoy a sumptuous set-dinner onboard.
  • 20:30 You will have free time for joining games, or you may also try your luck with squid fishing. The overnight onboard is with Swan Cruise.

Day 5: Ha Long - Hanoi (on train, joining tour, 160 kilometers, 3 hours 30 minutes)

  • 06:30 You will be starting your day with Tai Chi on the sundeck.
  • 07:00 Breakfast will be served in a Western style and furthermore with Vietnamese traditional food.
  • 08:00 You will explore the Thien Canh Son. The guide will explain the history of Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, and its cave, made by Mother Nature.
  • 09:30 Upon return to the boat, you will have 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing. Please remove all your belongings from your cabin. You may leave heavy luggage outside of the cabin (staff will transfer directly to the pier).
  • 10:30 There will be a Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the boat.
  • 11:00 You will enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
  • 12:00 You will disembark in Hon Gai pier.
  • 12:30 You will have a farewell to Ha Long Bay then return to Hanoi
  • 17:30 Drop off at your hotel and enjoy your free time to have dinner by yourself until 19:30-20:00. The driver will pick you up at the hotel then transfer you to catch the train to Sapa. The overnight will be on the train.

Day 6: Lao Cai - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van village

  • 05:30-06:00 You will be picked up at Lao Cai Train Station by the staffs for a drive to Sapa by bus.
  • 07:00 You will have breakfast and relax at the hotel (no room this morning).
  • 09:00 The guide will take you to visit two villages of the H’mong and Dzay people called Lao Chai, Ta Van, and Giang Ta Chai villages. You will have lunch on the way or in a family of the ethnic people. You will start trekking from the Lao Chai village.
  • 17:00 When you finish the trekking trip at the end of the village, the bus will pick you up back to Sapa town. Dinner will be at a local restaurant and overnight will be in Sapa.

Day 7: Sapa - Fansipan Peak by cable car - Hanoi (on train)

  • 08:00 After breakfast at the hotel, your driver and tour guide will take you to a cable car station and spend 20 minutes with the cable car to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
  • 09:00 Reaching the altitude of 2,800 meters, you will have a good time to see the view and take photos, and visit pagoda (the spiritual destinations). While trekking up to 600 steps, you will reach the peak of Fansipan - the roof of Indochina. You will spend about 1,5 hours for hiking and taking photos.
  • 11:00 Come back to the cable car station and return to Sapa town.
  • 12:30 You will have lunch at local restaurant.
  • 13:30-15:45 It’s time to relax and discover Sapa town by yourself with some souvenirs then transfer to Lao Cai station. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before catching the train back to Hanoi. The overnight will be on the train.

Day 8: Hanoi - Hue City (by plane)

  • Suggested flight: Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) - Phu Bai International Airport (HUI) by Vietnam airline or similar from 08:40 to 09:55 (charge from 120 USD / ticket / pax)

Arrival in Hanoi early morning. The driver will pick you up at Hanoi station then transfer to the airport to take your morning flight to Hue. When arriving, you will have lunch at a local restaurant. You will embark on a boat for cruise upstream on the Perfume River which also gives a taste of the scenic countryside and have an enjoyable visit to the beautiful pagoda of Thien Mu. Upon leaving this symbol of Hue, you will continue navigating to the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. The next stop of the trip is the elaborated royal tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh. Dinner will be on your own and you will stay an overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (100 kilometers, 2 hours 30 minutes)

After breakfast, you will drive to Da Nang with stopovers at Hai Van Pass and Lang Co Beach for sightseeing. When arriving in Da Nang, you will visit the Cham Museum and Marble Mountains. You will continue to the riverside town of Hoi An, an important trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries officially listed as a World Heritage Site. The lunch will be at a local restaurant. You have to check in at the hotel before taking a walking tour around Hoi An ancient town and exploring its treasures which include the Japanese Bridge, Phuoc Kien Assembly Hall, and Phung Hung Old Merchant House. The dinner will be on your own and the overnight will be in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City (by plane, 1,050 kilometers, 1 hour 15 minutes)

  • Suggested flight: Da Nang International Airport (DAD) - Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) from 10:15 to 11:45 by Vietnam airline or similar

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Da Nang International Airport (DAD) to take the flight to Saigon. When arriving in Saigon, you will transfer to the hotel for check-in and have lunch at a restaurant before taking the city tour of such sites as the Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, the Reunification Palace (outside), Thien Hau Pagoda, and China Town. You will have dinner on your own and the overnight in Saigon.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City (75 kilometers, 2 hours)

After breakfast, you will have morning departure from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and drive to Mỹ Tho, located in the heart of the Mekong Delta. When arriving in Mỹ Tho, you will take a boat for a cruise on the Mekong River and its multiple canals to Bến Tre. You will visit a coco candy factory where you can taste local specialties. You will take a 15-minute coach ride to visit a garden house to enjoy tea with honey and fresh tropical fruits. Take a sampan through a water coconut forest before returning to the boat to come back to the restaurant for lunch with a chance to taste “tai tuong” fish, a special kind of fish having big ears. In the afternoon, you will return to Saigon. The dinner will be on your own and the overnight will be in Saigon.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City - Phnom Penh (by plane)

  • Suggested flight: Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) - Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH) from 08:30 to 09:30 by Cambodia Angkor air or similar

You will have breakfast at your hotel then transfer to the airport to catch the flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival at pier in Phnom Penh, meet the tour guide and driver who will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to visit the private quarter of Royal Palace and then see inside the grounds of the Silver Pagoda. The pagoda gets its name from the 5,000 tiles of pure silver which decorate the floor. In addition, the Buddha of the pagoda is made from solid gold and is decorated with over 9,000 diamonds.

Next, you will visit the national museum where you can see Khmer art, especially sculptures from different periods of Cambodian history. In the evening, you will continue to visit the Wat Phnom pagoda, built in 1372 on a hill that gave the name to the capital. Your dinner will be on your own account and stay overnight at a hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 13: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap

After breakfast, you will be transferred by a private vehicle and escorted by the tour guide to Siem Reap. On the way, you will make some stops to visit local market in Skuon and Sambor Prei Kuk, located 35-kilometer northeast of Kampong Thom. You will also visit the ancient capital of Chenla with its 100 temples from the pre-Angkor period. Your lunch will be at a local restaurant. You will continue to Siem Reap and stop at the ancient Naga Bridge (Spean Praptos) which is located 60 kilometers from Siem Reap. In the late afternoon, you will transfer direct to Siem Reap. Upon the arrival, you will check-in and stay overnight at the hotel. Dinner will be on your own account and overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 14: Siem Reap - Angkor temples tour

Get up in the early morning, ride a tuk-tuk to visit sunrise in front of Angkor Wat temple, and then come back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you with your vehicle will continue to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom City and then exploring the mysterious Royal City Angkor Thom. Bayon and its 50-tower temple is an awesome sight. At first glance, it looks like a shapeless mass of stone, but further scrutiny reveals a face and then another and another until suddenly you are engulfed by the silent, heavy, enigmatic, and silent gaze through half-closed eyes, staring out from a primitive and remote time. Furthermore, you will visit to the surroundings of the complex including the Baphuon, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, and royal enclosure area. You will have lunch at a local restaurant on your own account.

In the afternoon, you will continue to visit the picturesque Ta Prohm that had nearly disappeared into the jungle and remains overgrown, an oddly haunting and exotic scene. The magnificent roots of a tree, pushing between the huge stone blocks of the temple in a sort of embrace, evoke feelings that you may remember forever. Late afternoon, you will visit the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat - one of the world’s most impressive ruins. The temple still owns fine Apsara carvings in Angkorian era art. This evening, you will enjoy dinner with Apsara dance show and overnight at a hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 15: Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake - Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kampong Phluk village. Kampong Phluk is a permanent floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake. You will board a local boat and cruise the waterways observing the authentic and diverse lifestyle of the local floating community. Admire the simple, yet fascinating lifestyle and interact with your host to learn more about living on the water. The experience is wonderful as you pass by floating village, stilt houses, flooded forest, and fishermen at work. Then, come back to visit Artisans D’Angkor and Old Market before transfer to the airport to catch your flight departure back your country. End of services!
