Schiacciata is a classic Tuscan bread that is made with simple ingredients. Historically, women in Italy bake this bread for the miners to bring as their meals. It is a good source of energy and easy to preserve.

To make this Italian bread, you need flour, yeast, olive oil, and salt.

Roll the dough into a ball and smash it so it becomes flat.

Form a rectangle or oval shape and make dimples on the flattened surface by pressing your fingers all over the dough.
